We booked one night at The Bluff on Whidbey for the end of a week+ of camping and backpacking throughout the area. We arrived tired, grimy, and in need of respite. That is exactly what we found.
We booked the smaller room - Linden - on the ground floor. Every tiny detail had been planned out by our hosts. The entire process, from reservation to departure, is handled so smoothly. I have not seen their level of organization and thorough planning anywhere.
The views of the water out the Linden room's expansive window were perfect. The room was squeaky clean, top to bottom, and the TV, plush robes, and soft sheets, were just what we needed. Larry and Kathy were also very accommodating with our morning plans, allowing us to elect breakfast at an earlier time to fit with our ferry reservations. Larry even gave us some helpful tips for catching the ferry! Much appreciated by out-of-towners. At breakfast, the coffee was perfect and the next day we were still talking about the locally grown strawberries.
I have already recommended The Bluff on Whidbey to a friend traveling to Whidbey Island next month.
