I have travelled for the last 25 years all over the US and Canada. I am a multi million miler. This is by far the worse place I have ver stayed for the money I payed. The staff is not trained from top to bottom. They can not even concieve the idea of being accomidating. It is almost if they have all been trained to say NO to the customer!! It is not part of chain so your recourses are very limited.


We to had issue with the restaurant. 3 out of the 7 entrees were not available and we could not order from the bar menu ( all the food comes from the same kitchen). One meal never showed up after 45 minutes of wait. And we were charged for the meal!!!

One day our room was not completely clean. Glasses left dirty and cleaning ingredients left on the counter. I suspect they do not replace used glasses with sanitized glasses!!!

The area is great but look for alternatives if you want service and relaxation.

We took advantage of a special online offer for the month of July were we got a room with two queen beds, a bottle of champagne in the room, a $20 gift voucher for the dining room and mineral baths and wraps for two all for a set price. It was very reasonable and we were pleased with it all. The baths were unique... nice treat. The spa area is new and they offer many services. The staff are easy going and acommodating. The room was clean and spacious. Our room overlooked the courtyard, which I would recommend because of the soothing sounds of the waterfalls. It was very relaxing. The rooms that are considered "view" rooms actually overlook the parking lot and then out to a view. I will admit, when I was unpacking the car and walking toward the hotel I was looking up at the people on their decks...needless to say, not alot of privacy with that. Our dinner was really good. Nice presentation and high quality food. Limited options, however. A little pricey, but it's more upscale so you get what you pay for. We did it all, dinner included, for about $200 and we were pleased with that. One night was actually enough, but two would also be good. More than that and you might get a little bored. Perfect for a great rest!

If you're just interested in lying outside and don't need or want to interact with any hotel personnel, then this place may be right for you. The spa is a disappointment - the hot baths are OK, but my massage was horrible, and for $95 it shouldn't be horrible. The staff is untrained and is not the type of staff you'd expect at such a pricey resort. Our waiter knew nothing about the menu or the wine list. I'd expect him at a Red Robin, not a $200/night hotel. The food was good, although it lacked some of the professionalism you'd expect from a more well trained chef (tons of goat cheese on the salad, spinach was obviously from a bag). The hotel staff aren't particularly friendly and they NEVER go out of their way to help you. I wouldn't want to have a service issue here, as they would be of NO help.

If you're the type of person who likes laying out, isn't in it for the spa services, and is willing to pay a fair amt for your room and your dinner, then you'll probably be happy. They have updated the grounds so there are more places to lounge around and you can eat outside now. Just cross your fingers that you don't have to talk to the staff much....

This place was horrible!! They don't know the definition of the word "Customer Service." The staff is more into harrassing the customer than catering to their needs. My sister ended up with food poisoning from the restaurant, and don't plan on getting your meal within 30-45 min. The general manager is a well.... so bad I can't write it here. Don't waste your time or money on this joint.
