I must admit that after reading some of the other reviews I was hesitant to stay but all of my expectations were met! The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, the rooms were fabulous and the food was quite good. We didn't get a chance to try out the spa services, but will definitely go back to do that this summer.

This hotel has the worst service. I decided to stay there for a weekend retreat with my fiance and paid quite a bit for our room. The rooms were nice but the staff lost our reservation and it took us awhile to check in. We had questions about the hotel and the staff weren't very helpful in answering our questions. The staff just seemed extremely bored and confused by my questions. I feel that this hotel has a lof of potential but it is not be run correctly. I would not go back. Stay at Skamania Lodge instead.

My husband & I attended an event this past weekend. The resort was a buzz with a wedding going on, the birthday party we were here for, not to mention they were sold out on rooms. I was somewhat concerned how our party would go what with a wedding happening at the same time. I was hoping that our party would get good service and that we would not be low man on the totem pole. To our surpirse, not only was our party the Best ever, the service was great and the food amazing. I met up with a couple of people from the wedding and they said that even though the wedding ceremony got rained out, they had the best time. They also said their service was excellent and the food great. I really wish that more people would take the time to write good reviews rather than the opposite. When I read the other reviews, I was concerned; but then I soon realized that these people wrote in anger and were not going to be happy with anything at that point. By the way, the bride was gorgeous! No complaints here...

Food at this place is a real hit & miss. Your best bet is to order something that's idiot proof. My steak was fine. My husband's clams & linguine in white wine sauce was....not good at all. I suggest the chef invest in some chicken stock or something.

The facilities were nice. Spending the two days soaking in the pool, was definitely nice.

The staff, overall were inexperienced, but not rude. There was a general feeling in the air that no one who worked there, actually wanted to BE there. But what really surprised me was how rude the manager was. You'd think of all people, he'd be the one to know better.

I might go back. But in the mean time, I'll try a little harder to find a good hot springs closer to home. I don't think driving 5 1/2hrs to the middle of nowhere for bad food and bad service, is worth it, do you?
