After reading a few prior reviews, we nervously booked our room and hoped that it was going to be okay. We arrived to find the facilty quite lovely. Check in went very easy, our room was very clean, and nice. We had a room with a balcony and a hot tub. We did have a Parking Lot View, but you know, it was still a good view of the hillside, etc. Im not sure it would be worth it to pay more for a view. It was great having your own hot tub. We could have paid the same at Skamania, without a hot tub so this was a nice perk for us. The great room is wonderful. Very pretty. They have wine tasting on Saturdays from 6 to 7 for an hour for 15 bucks. We did that. It was great, we got very good generous amounts of four different kinds of wines, as well as a lovely platter with fruit, cheese, and bread. The bread was a bit crunchy but it was suppose to be. The wine gal was very friendly, very imformative. This resort has a great pool area. We didnt try the spa , maybe next time. It has a mini golf course, that the kids loved. While this isnt the cheapest place to stay, We only ate there once, which was breakfast, but it was very good. We made a great find, thanks to the wine lady! Its called Walking Man Brew Pub in Stevenson/ it has great homemade beer and probably the best pizza we have ever eaten. We will definetly hit that place up again. Everyone we encountered during our stay at the resort was helpful and very friendly. We will definetly be back. this is a wonderful area, with plenty to do! hikes, crossing over to Cascade Locks, going on the Sternwheeler, Bonneville Dam tours. And this resort was a great place to stay, it was a wonderful weekend.
