“Big rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here while visiting Mt Vernon. Rooms are very roomy, but highest gets a little noisy. Might find a hotel in La Conner if we come back in the future. It was ok for just one night, but wouldn't recommend for a longer stay.

We stayed here during our visit to Washington and the San Juan Islands. Coming from a customer service oriented profession I was very pleased with the friendliness and efficiency of the all of the staff. The front desk ladies were always pleasant. The rooms are nice and clean with huge, comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area and are looking for a clean and friendly place to stay.

We are enroute to Alaska from Las Vegas NV. I am traveling with two children and two pets, this trip has been very interesting already;). what we needed was a place for all of us to relax.... We found it... Lovely spacious rooms, pet friendly and awesome staff.. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family or anyone with pets!!
Thank you very much! :) B. Lawrence

Quick check in and out. Very efficient staff. The rooms are HUGE! King bed and couch plus desk and a full width counter with bar sink. I could play baseball in here. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Very quiet even with the window open. Bath and toilet are separate from the bath sink. 3rd floor hallway is 12 feet WIDE!
Breakfast was amazing. Layout was terrific. Eggs, ham, biscuits and gravy. Incredible assortment of fruits, breads, yogurts, juices, coffees, cereals. I have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world, and this is the best example of "continental breakfast" I have ever seen. Good for you Best Western.

Room Tip: Try the third floor. Check out the hallway.

I was attending a conference in Mount Vernon that was being held at the hotel's conference facility. I was amazed at the internal dimensions of the building. The halls were twice your standard width. I was in a double queen, one of the largest I've been in.

The only issue was the relative remoteness of the site. There weren't any restaurants within walking distance, especially in a bitterly cold wind.

This is an older wooden hotel, good service at check in, lots of parking and pretty good selection at self-served breakfast. The only negative about this hotel is you can hear people walking upstairs, can be annoying in the middle of the night.

Room Tip: It has elevator, will ask for top floor next time!

Great stay and good location for a short shopping trip from Vancouver, B.C. In between Bellingham and Seattle Premium Outlets, not to mention the lululemon outlet just a few blocks away. The pool/whirlpool was closed during our visit and we were offered guest passes to the rec center next door. Breakfast was busy on Sunday morning (waffle maker, boiled and scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal). Rooms were fine and we did not see any dogs, which was great because I was concerned the rooms may have a slight smell. Not at all! Got a great rate on Priceline and would definitely stay again for the same rate, especially during tulip fest or to visit Deception Pass.
