“Needs some Updating and Cleaning”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

The Campground area is not taken care of. It needs a total makeover and redo! The grounds are not maintained.

“Nice park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

A great place to picnic or launch a kayak. There's a campground on the other side of the road if you want to stay longer.

“a nice public place to enjoy a Salish Sea shoreline for a picnic or birdwatching”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Great view of sunsets, a small park in a small town on big Padilla Bay that empties and fills every day. You can walk the campground loops or down the road in Bay View walk the longer Shore trail 5 or 6 miles to enjoy the natural world here. Just 1/4 mile from the Padilla Bay interpretive center you can learn more about what's under the surface of the water, also walk a mile loop nature trail there. Quiet state park, except for July 4 when the neighbors make a huge racket. Nice little cabins available to rent for those who don't have the stuff for camping.

Lovely camping in the woods with scenic views and rocky shoreline. Lots of wildlife, eagles, and sea creatures.

“Enjoyed our little cabin!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

This quiet campground was a perfect base for our biking day trips. First time we had stayed in a state park cabin and it was simple, rustic, and clean. Your own water view property! Interesting things to do close by - fun towns of LaConner and Edison, ferries to San Juan Islans, and a nature center just half mile up the road. Nice beach access and sunsets, although it's a little strange to see the refineries in Anacortes lit up at night.
