This restaurant bills itself as Mediteranean food, and from the name, one might think it is just Italian. It's actually a fusion of Persian, Greek and Italian. The menu tends toward the Italian and Greek, but the specials tend to be Persian. It's certainly some of the most inventive cuisine in Monroe. Even dishes that you might think of as fairly standard, like linguini in Alfredo sauce or Puttanesca come out as a delight. Everything is made in-house - for example, the pesto is really good.
It's just a small place in a strip mall with fairly simple decor, but the prices are also moderate. The service is always good, especially so when the owner is there, which is often.
I do have a couple of areas I'd like to see them improve, but both are understandable - the menu is small. I'd like to have more to choose from, but when you're starting up, you need to contain food cost and wastage. The other is that the wine selection is very small, but there's also some reasonably priced treats you won't find elsewhere in there.
