“Our Anniversary dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

We were looking forward to our meal but I think this place is a bit too fancy for us. Too pricy also.

Hi there - thank you for your review! We'd love to have you two in some time, to actually have a meal and see what you think. Our fish is incredibly fresh, and there are great specials on the weekends. We hope to see you here soon. Thanks,
Ben

“Excellent Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We dined with a group of 10 and enjoyed the meal. Very good selection of sea food and some beef with large portions. Good selection of wine, beer and appies. Our waiter was very good, gave informed answers to all questions we gave her and she provided prompt attention to all our requests. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. The only down side is you have to go thru the casino to reach the restaurant which is all smoking and the stench is awful.

“Wonderful 5 Star Restaurant cuisine yet casual and great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Encouraged by reviews here, decided to go for our Anniversary which we casually mentioned when we turned up without reservation around 8:30ish and were asked to wait about half-hour, so enjoyed pre-dinner drink at the bar.
Bar is excellent with great choice of draft beers from all over, I tried the local Mac&Jack from Redmond which is a clean and tasty amber ale.
We asked for a booth and were seated before our 30mins was up anyways.
* Comments about the noise are valid, but this is to be expected after all, being a large restaurant in a casino but the upside is that we didn't hear anything to suggest we were even inside a casino, just general restaurant hubub and we were able to hold our conversations without raising our voices, so no worries really. Also, no smoke emanates into the restaurant so again, the overall atmosphere is very nice.

House baked Flatbread and 3 butters are wonderful and tasty.Had to resist tempation to order another basket!
We ordered a dozen oysters on the shell to share: absolute heaven! Kunonomoto's are my favourite and didn't disappoint. Tommy our knowledgeable server suggested some other local oysters and all were excellent, fresh and tasty.

Being a fan of Black cod, had to try the namesake BlackFish and was not disappointed! Really lightly done, buttery and soft and tasty.
Tommy also suggested the parmesan encrusted halibut which was sensational! crispy cheesy on the outside and deliciously moist insides. We ordered sides of broccolini and asparagus which were nicely cooked and crunchy.
Also accompanied by 3 different style polenta's which were delicate and yummy.

A lovely suprise followed with an unsolicited Happy Anniversary plate, artfully messaged in chocolate writing with a beautifully dark and rich chocolate ganache cake, very nice touch and check out our photo!
Had to end with a little dessert and the home made raspberry sorbet is decadently rich and thick, very nice!
Finish off with their in House Killer Coffee brew.. very tasty and not bitter at all.

All in all, really excellent 5 star quality food you would expect in a top notch hotel but without the exorbitant pricing and pretentiousness. Great service and love the Northwest Pacific cuisine menu; would love to try the salmon on a stick next time.

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

So we spent the evening over night at the casino for our 7th anniversary. Favorite part of the night...Blackfish! What a great experience. Love the flatbread served upon arrival. Ordered the Serrano Pepper Martini, it's hot, crisp and delicious! Started with the crab cakes with 3 delicious aiolis, my favorite was the Meyer Lemon, amazing, served with the most delicious little apple salad! Vine Ripe tomato salad also fresh and delicious. Entrees were fantastic, (needed a touch of salt) but we both did the Seafood Board and all was generous portions and we were very pleased. I would go back in a heart beat and look forward to the next time we visit. Thanks for serving us a great anniversary meal.

“Blackfish Grill at Tulalip Casino”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is a great place to enjoy casual dining with a flare. The bar is fun and you can sit on the restaurant side or the casino side. The Bartenders are excellent. The food is fun, have some huge onion rings with your ice cold beer while waiting for your table in the bar. Once seated, all seafood dishes are really good. One of the best items I've enjoyed at Blackfish, is the Crab macaroni. It was so delicious, lots of white lump crab meat and good textured curly noodles and quite artistically presented. Check it out if hunger hits while you are gambling.
