2 days & nights, staying with a dear friend. What was surprising, was that on a deeply forested high hill, “in the middle of nowhere” was this very modern very high quality building & interior. Like a little mansion. A beautiful multiple skylight as you walk up the stairs to the second floor rooms. You could've put the interior in a decorator’s magazine. We chose a room with a view the valley and the mountains. Watching the light begin lighting up the valley in the early-morning, revealing patches of fog in a deep silence was beautiful. Another feature which I really liked, was the food in the morning. They make their own granola! This crunchy roasted almond studded substance was the best granola I ever tasted. And the omelette on the 1st morning was to die for. The next day was home-made Blueberry waffles. Plus a local brand of great coffee. Very modern, very clean, very quiet, and visually pleasing throughout the house. I think this bed-and-breakfast had 4 to 6 available bedrooms. What didn't work for me, was the Internet was intermittent. And I have a MacBook Pro with a good Airport feature. What didn't work for me, was the bedside lamps didn't give off much light, so to read I had to remove the shade. And what didn't work for me was I couldn't easily find the DVDs in the basement lounge, only a selection for the out-dated VCR which each room had. I think for the price they charge they could update the bedroom technology for DVDs and Blu-ray. All in all my experience was very good, the beds were super-comfortable, the food was excellent, and the view & the silence were healing. I also enjoyed the different guests who were at the table for breakfast each morning between 8 and 9. I would stay here again and would suggest this bed & breakfast to my friends. With the changes I mentioned this place would be a perfect 10.
