“Uh Oh the Factory may be slipping!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

We love Spaghetti Factory, but our latest stop has us wondering. Obviously SF is a value proposition, pretty tasty food for a low price.

My better half always orders the managers special half mushroom, half Mizithra. Aside from smaller portions than usual, she found the mushrooms sliced thinly not their usual chunky style, and there were seven slices in her portion . She said it was just not as expected.

I always get the baked chicken and Mizithra... I got a really small portion of spaghetti much smaller than usual, and the chicken was just rubber. In the past it was a tasty seasoned breast, very tender. This visit it was so rubbery I got tired of chewing each bite... It was horrible...as cheap chicken breast go...

Service was very good as always but I think someone is trying to save a few cent per meal, changed suppliers or cooking processes for the worst. Too bad.

“Uneven Service, great food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

The main reason I love the Old Spaghetti Factory is because of the food, but sometimes the service makes it less than enjoyable. We try to come here on off-peak hours because it can get really loud with the kids and families that come in here. I love their Manager's Special where you can mix two sauces togehter. The prices have gone up considerably but it's still a good deal with the salad, bread, drink and desert all included.

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Wowed! What a meal! After being completely disappointed the night prior with 13 Coins Seatac we took a cab to the Spaghetti Factory at the Southcenter mall. Best decision on the trip. Wife had spicy shrimp plate and I had a chicken plate. Both were delectable! Service was spot on and the atmosphere was great. We will definietly be back.

“A good place for a reasonably-priced meal, but crowded”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

This one's away from the mall, but customers still find it. Their parking lot was virtually full, more so than usual, as we found the last spot. Surprisingly, the wait was given as 20 minutes, was probably a bit shorter than that, and they have a fair amount of seating for those waiting (along with a blinking coaster to tell you when your wait's over). As usual, it is a fairly noisy restaurant. The service at this OSF is usually average or slightly better, but this time was below average, for our server started us off, but then we got a series of others doing various other parts of the meal, she later explaining-but only because I asked that was due to her being responsible for the till, our initial server returning at the end. The timing of the meal was off and slow as a result, e.g. when food shows up, when refills are given, etc. The customary loaf of bread was presented without a knife, and our attempt to cut it with a dinner knife was futile. Eventually, we flagged down someone, then our initial server when that failed, to bring one. Everything else was consistent with other visits to OSF - quantity is okay, taste and temperature of food fine, value was excellent (hence the average rating), especially when one orders one of the included beverages with their meal: coffee, tea-hot or iced, or - surprisingly - milk, all refillable, and the included dessert (recommend the spumoni ice cream). Otherwise, a $2.99 drink (or any other dessert) is really understating its price, for you're saving OSF the cost of the free beverage (dessert).

“Way to step up Phil, Thank You”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Arrived at a busy time and waited a little longer then usual for a table for 7. After a while we learned they were very understaffed this night and that is why we were waiting so long. Finally they sat us in a large back room with no other guests and the manager came in and took care of us. Phil was great with the kids and really made up for the long wait with the over the top service. Love this place and it was my 11 year old birthday dinner and here first choice for dinner. Will be back.
