I used to work here for a few years in college, and I miss it terribly now that I've gotten married and moved out of state. (There definately isnt a Hungarian restaurant in Oahu.. lol) For those of you commenting on a limited menu, I can tell you the best time to come here any given week is SATURDAY for LUNCH. There will be at least 4-5 entree choices, including but not limited to chicken paprikash, cabbage rolls, and homemade sausage made up fresh that morning as well as fresh dobos torte, chef's choice fruit flavored cream cake, sour cherry cake, and delicious napoleons made up that morning. Also, there will be cauliflower soup and beef goulash soup. All of the sides will be fresh and readily available as well: spaetzle/nokadley, German fried potatoes, and rice pilaf as well as vegetables to garnish. The other entrees that could be available that lunch are: potato and sausage casserole (sooo yummmm), letcho (pepper, sausage and rice dish), stuffed peppers, beef goulash as an entree, wienerschnitzel, jagerschnitzel. THIS is the time to come, and all the regulars and especially the Hungarians know it, it is their busiest day of the week here, and for good reason. I had to show up early on Saturday mornings to help prep for all the hustle and bustle. So if you haven't been here before, or have been before and been dissapointed, just show up for lunch on a Saturday. You will not be dissapointed.
