“Very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

I liked the fact that half the museum was dedicated to information on various uses of kites and the other half on the more artistic recreational or sporting kits, including kites from around the world.

“Visit this museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

This was so much fun. The kites are beautiful and I learned that kites were used in many practical ways, not just for flying At the beach.

“Just kites really”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

So its cheap but not a 'must' do. You get to make a kite form plastic sheet - big deal. The WW2 room is interesting but there are maybe 3 kites there.

“If you are there, worth a visit.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

The museum, while small, describes how kites were used during the war, and their history. Kites displayed from different countries, are colorful and interesting, though limited. Gift shop has lots of kites for sale. I was glad the admission was so reasonable, as we were not compelled to spend much time there. Kids would probably enjoy the hands on part.

“A Pleasant Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

The World Kite Museum & Hall of Fame is indeed a surprise in this fairly remote corner of Washington State where many surprising delights await the traveler who comes here. The array and variety of kites alone is impressive, but the way they're displayed and the chronology and historical organization of their significance is also quite effective. Just the shear size or detail of some of the kites is staggering. In addition, there are video stations with clips of the kites in action; particularly impressive are the massive kites that are controlled by dozens of participants along the shores of Japan. As another reviewer aptly put it, one comes away from this museum changed and enriched.
