My husband and I and our two teenage sons stopped at the Cottage Bakery on our way out of town for brunch. My oldest son had the chowder in a bread bowl and loved it. The rest of us had egg sandwiches, two on croissant and one on homemade English muffins. For the price, the egg sandwiches were very hearty, with bacon or sausage and cheese. The boys split a Texas donut (and ate it all!) and my husband had the devil dog (which he didn't love.) But, the best thing going at the Cottage Bakery was the lemon turnover. The cinnamon rolls looked good, but we were full and haven't had great luck with taking bakery items home with us.
NOTE: THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS, SO BRING CASH!! (They do offer an ATM in the back corner of the bakery, but it will cost you!)
