“A great place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We stayed for two nights and loved the friendly staff, cleanliness, decor, fully loaded kitchen and fireplace. Out on the balcony we enjoyed the beautiful view which included the sight and sound of the ocean (we were on the very top level). It was only a short walk to the beach and there is a paved trail that stretches for 8 miles and they even offer free bike rentals. We would definitely stay here again :-)

Room Tip: Look for Groupon specials and request a top level room with an ocean view.

This is a great place to stay in Long Beach. Its location is close to the beach and nice and quiet. There's a nice pool and an indoor and outdoor jaccuzi. There is a washer dryer in each complex, and after hearing that I was interested in it, my clerk put me in the room next to the facility, making doing laundry that much easier. Clean, well decorated, friendly guests, good view...there's a long list of good things about this place. We stayed for $80 in a too with an extra twin bedroom. I met a family that had been coming every year for the past 17 years.

Room Tip: Looks like this place is full during mid season especially on weekends, but off season and during th...

We spent one night at the Breakers in a hotel style room that also had a refrigerator, microwave and large flat screen television. There was a small room off the main room with a twin bed where my son slept. Out on the balcony you could see the sea grass, but not the water despite the fact that we were on the second story. For the most part the motel was quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of parking but then we were there in mid-June 2013. It appeared that they had bikes for use by the customers, but we didn't use them. Inside the lobby was a wall of DVD's and a bookcase of books for use by the patrons. They have hours set aside for family time at the pool and adult only time at the pool which is a nice gesture. Adult hours tend to be later during the night. I would go back--the price was reasonable and the rooms were nothing spectacular but nice nonetheless.

Room Tip: If you want a beach view you might have to get a third story room.

My wife & I stayed at the Breakers for one night recently in a one bedroom condo unit with a balcony overlooking a large grassed area with a playground so great for families to keep an eye on the troops while sitting on the deck taking in the sites & sounds of the nearby beach & ocean. A short walk to the beach area & close to a paved pathway that you can walk, bike or run along the shoreline . The unit was clean, had a kitchen so meal cooking can be done if needed. The desk staff were very friendly & accommodating. The location is situated about 1 1/2 miles on the north side of Long Beach & was so quiet. If we are ever in the area again, this will be our place to stay again.

Room Tip: If travelling with kids I would suggest asking for rooms in units B or C as they face the playground...

We enjoyed our stay at the Breakers. The walk to the ocean is a bit further than it looks in pictures on the website, but it's still quite close to the ocean. The apartment we stayed in was clean, roomy and had a full kitchen and large bath. The balcony was a nice surprise but it rained the whole time we were there and we didn't get to use it. The adjoining unit was rather noisy and my parents could hear people talking throughout the night, however.

Booked the room online never having been to Long Beach before. We wanted good beach access, dog friendly and a place with a kitchenette and fireplace. We stayed three nights over Memorial Day Weekend. Even though it rained the entire time, the place was great and perfect for the dog. The kitchen was basic, which is expected for a beach rental. The unit was nicely furnished for two. It had two flat screen TV's and a blue ray DVD player. The fireplace was great and the beach was easily accessible. I understand, some of the units are owned privately so it may vary what you get in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is also very good as it isn't in the core downtown area where you might hear a lot of noise. Only downsides: wifi is slow and a bit weak, plus the walls are a little thin so you hear the neighbors . Other than that it was a great experience which we would definitely do again.

Room Tip: leash your dog - required on property but also a good idea on the beach as others have their dogs al...

We chose to stay here after finding a deal to stay here. We choose to stay in a suite, but should have saved our money. It was like a small 1 bdrm apartment, had a small deck where you could hear the ocean, There are no hotels where you can view the beach here on the peninsula that I have ever found. The wi-fi that they had here was horrible, It was better when people where sleeping to gone.I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay in but as a last resort. I will say the help in the check in office were very friendly and helpful.
