“A taste of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We so appreciated such a wonderful place to stay! Very clean, cozy, quiet & serene.
Our private deck overlooking the river, comfortable bed & authentic room made it feel like home. The breakfast was hearty and good and we loved watching the marmots come out to play. We enjoyed the hottub several times each day and liked the 24 hour a day useage option!. Thank you for your delightful staff hospitality and for 3nd night free which fell on our anniversary date! We so look forward to our next visit. God Bless you!

Room Tip: In a setting of it's own just minutes from heart of town. Best of both worlds! If you like to...

We stay here frequently while in leavenworth. this hotel is a 10 minute walk from town so it usually does not fill up as fast as the closer lodgings. The hotel is older, you still use a room key..but every room has a balcony overlooking the river and the rooms are clean and decorated in a classic Bavarian style. The ladies in the office are always very friendly and the remodeled breakfast room is beautiful and bright.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a refrigerator, be sure to ask if you want one.

My husband loves to fly fish, so being right on the river was a big plus for us. He was able to head down after breakfast and fish, while I stayed in the cozy, comfortable room to read and write. We enjoyed the close proximity to Leavenworth's shops and restaurants, without being right in the middle of it, so it still felt like we were "away." The building is not fancy, but our room was very clean, comfortable and well-supplied with a small fridge and coffee pot. The staff was very friendly, and we loved being able to have our dog with us. We spent one evening in the hot tub, which was very relaxing, especially since it was so cold outside! While we look forward to visiting other spots and trying out other B&B's, we would definitely consider another visit to the Alpine Rivers Inn.

Lovely clean rooms right on the river. A little older but awesome. Friendly staff, great breakfast in a cozy room and dog friendly. Quiet rooms with down comforters. Nice hot tub just outside of town but very convenient. Seems to attract a quieter clientele then some of the in town places which are more party oriented.

Three women and two dogs stayed here during the middle of the week for two nights. We came out to do a little snowshoeing and sightseeing. I believe there was one other guest the whole time we were here. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view off of the deck was beautiful, although it was a little too cold to sit outside - will definitely come back and stay here when it warms up.

The owner was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great! You get a choice of up to 4 entrees. I had ham one day, sausage on another day, fruit, waffles, granola, yogurt, etc. It was quite the selection.

Some people have mentioned that it's "too far from town". I guess that's a matter of perspective. It's probably less than a mile to town, an easy walk if you're in shape. We chose to drive (5 minutes - tops) since it was so cold out.

We had a great trip and are looking forward to coming back in the summer to do a little hiking.

We had an excellent stay. Very good service, nice room with comfortable beds and a beautiful woods-river view off the deck. Just a short distance from the shopping area but that was just fine. Very nice breakfast in the morning and a good feel to the place.....nice people running it. We will stay there again our next time in Leavenworth.

We had a lovely stay here late December. The staff was very helpful in finding accomodations for us at the last min. Room(s) were very comfortable, large and with a lovely view of the river and snow-covered hills. Even though this is a tad outside of the main town, it is within walking distance or a close drive to many things. We enjoyed the hot tub in the snow as well. Breakfast was good. We had to change rooms in the middle of our stay and that was a bit confusing as we had to check out and check back in and could not leave luggage there but put it back in our car. Would be nice to smooth out this transition in the future. But - other than that, would highly recommend. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times.
