“Another Night at The Lodge, Another Great Memory”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We go to Leavenworth quite a bit, and almost always stay at the Bavarian Lodge. This time we took our ten month old so he could get a feel of life on the road. Same wonderful experience. I choose the BL because it makes me feel like I am at home. They take care to make the room feel special, and not like a chain. We stayed in the room right by the lobby and I was very happy to say that we didn't hear a peep from the people there, or the traffic right across the hall in the dining area. Having a young baby we were a bit concerned that there would be noises that would wake him, but like I said, not a peep. I am on the road a lot as a pilot, and this is one of my favorite hotels ever. I especially enjoy being there in the holiday season, they really beautify the building with what seems like a million white and blue LED lights. I will definately stay again and encourage everyone to do the same.

Room Tip: Choose the front side facing the main Leavenworth plaza, or really splurge and get what they call th...

We stayed here one night on 12/30/2012 and were very pleased. This hotel is just across from Front Street, so once we arrived, we didn't use our car again until we left. In fact, since we could not get an early check-in, they gave us a parking pass a few hours early. Very good folks here.

The room was nicely done with some character. The sheets were great. The mattress was a spring type, and we sleep on memory foam, so it took a little getting used to. Definitely OK though. The entire room (and everywhere else) was immaculate. Note: They take not-smoking very seriously, and it shows. Don't even think about it :)

Breakfast was included and well done. They feed a lot of folks, but there were no lines and everything was abundant and of good quality. The waffle irons were a nice bonus!

We had a ground floor room with a fireplace. The street noise was not bad at all. If it were Christmas that might have been different.

The heated pool and spas (2) are not to be missed. There is nothing like being surrounded by snowy alpine mountains in a 102 degree spa on a 20 degree morning.

All in all, this was a nice quick over-night trip, and this lodge, though a bit pricey during high season, was a great place to stay. I'm sure we will return.

We found this gem when it was recommended to us by another hotel that was full. That was 4 years ago and we've been there a total of 7 times. I honestly can't think of a downside. Great rates, free full breakfast, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms and common areas, warm pool, central location....the list goes on. Stay one time, it won't be your last.

Room Tip: The family room on the 4th floor is awesome, three large beds including a king in a curtained-off si...

My girlfriend and I had plans to go to another lodge and it turned out that lodge had lost power and the road was closed to get there. We had to find another place to stay last minute and making the phone call to Bavarian Lodge was a great call! The service from the phone call in until we had checked out was great! The rooms are beautiful, staff is friendly and pleasant to work with, and the breakfast was delicious! We look forward to staying there again in future and would recommend this lodge to anyone! Lastly I forgot to mention how convenient the location is. Just across the street from all the shops and great places to dine.

We truly enjoyed our getaway stay at this hotel. While we have traveled to Leavenworth multiple times in the past few years, this is the first time we have stayed right in town. This hotel is very warm & friendly. The staff were very nice to interact with (and checked us in an hour early with no problem whatsoever). We stayed in one of their turret suites (which was large & warm & comfortable & clean). We spent a fair amount of time in the room and it was very pleasant. The parking (at least in front) is a bit competitive to find a space, but we did without trouble. Tip: Know your license plate number for check-in (as they are trying to keep their parking only for hotel guests). Some of the other nice amenities were that they have a large collection of movies (some very recent releases included) available to borrow for viewing. The breakfast was nice, although their hot food items were limited if you are vegetarian (and they did not have any cinnamon rolls, which they advertise are served every day).

The location cannot be better than this hotel. I believe being across the street from downtown was better than being in the downtown, as we had a view of the entire area from our hotel room. (And you only have to walk one block to get to a signal to cross.) We went for their Christmas lighting ceremony. Tip: Spend a Sunday night at the hotel for non-weekend rates, but with the same access to events like this. Our room was directly across from the downtown gazebo where everything was happening. We were able to watch (and even listen) to the event from our room with the window open. So we saw the lighting (probably better than people on the street could see it) without standing in the cold. While we had a suite, any of the rooms facing town (worth it) from the 2nd floor up would offer the same view & experience of the lighting, I suspect.

Very enjoyable hotel. They even had nice, little amenities like a tiny Christmas tree in the room. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Pay for the room with the view of town. It's worth it. Anything from the 2nd floor up gives a gr...

We stayed here for one night, and were impressed with the service orientation. Leavenworth is a tad kitschy with the Bavarian influence not that authentic (Gatlinburg of the West?). So you won't find too many luxury lodgings here. But the Bavarian Inn appears to be among the nicest, and is in a perfect location right across the street from the main square (a small park). It's an easy walk to most of the better restaurants in town. The decor of the hotel does give you the feel (a little dark) of a German inn. We were quite impressed with the friendliness and energy of the front desk and other staff. Our village view King Room was very nice---a large room with a good flat screen TV and comfortable bed. The heating/air conditioning system worked very well and the room had good lighting for reading, etc.(which can't be said for many comparable hotels). There is plenty of free parking on site. The free breakfast buffet was fine. Overall, this hotel exceeeded our expectations.

Fantastic. Lots of FUN! Great staff. Very clean and would go back! Staff was vet helpful and great at pointing you to places to see and eat at. They just put up their Christmas lights and decorations! Very pretty. They are also walking distance to all the shops.
