“Consistently solid”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

This is a usual lunch spot for us when staying in Leavenworth. In fact we ate there twice on the most recent trip. It has good variety and we've sampled the soups, salad bar, sausages and sandwiches. The staff is usually friendly and the food comes out quickly.

Others have noted that it's a little pricey and prices may indeed have ncreased but I don't think it's unreasonable. Lunch for 3 came to $42 and included 2 lemonades, a hot buttered rum, bowl of soup sausage sampler and French dip. Everyone was happy with their food and I was surprised by how good the roast beef in the French dip was.

I agree with some other reviewers that have said the white chicken chili is bland but we like the cream of broccoli and tomato basil raviolini.

“Great Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

Great lunch place! The soup selection was excellent - I had split pea with ham - yummy. My husband had a ruben - one of the best in a long time. Good Beer selection.

“Very good food, higher prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Used to be the best deal on the pricy Leavenworth strip, but prices went up. Fortunately the food quality sustains it, with a very good chicken chili rated a 8 of 10 and a fantastic potato salad that is slightly vinegar, but not overpoweringly so. The sausages were a bland and so not recommended (you'd do better to buy a Zenner or Aidell at grocery store), but the sauerkraut was good and it IS cheaper than the full fledged restaurants. The spring loaded seats with no backs are quite difficult, so grab one of the few booths if possible.

“SOUP IS AMAZING!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

They offer 5 soups, self serve. Tomato ravioli was what I had this time. YUM!! Bread bowls are good usually but they ran out this time. Staff seemed fussy with one another. Warm and cozy atmosphere.

“Best place to warm your belly up!”

I always get their great chicken chile and my wife varies the sandwiches and soups up each time. I must go to in any season!
