“Pretty good food and service but tired and dated kitschy decor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We chose Cafe Mozart based on reviews about the food and we weren't disappointed. Our schnitzels, German potato salad and winekraut were delicious - nothing fancy, but very tasty. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and the service was reasonably prompt. The only letdown was the environment - certainly in need of updating.

Our theme is old world Austrian-Bavarian. Our goal is to bring people to an old fashioned, high quality experience which is authentic and reminiscent of traditional restaurants in Europe. We are in the heart of Leavenworth, also a theme town which attracts millions of visitors a year for an old world experience. We keep our walls freshly painted, have replaced old carpeting, and add new accents all the time. We will be going through a remodel in March which will add to the ambiance of our eatery while retaining the old world charm. Please come back and see all of the fun new changes.

“Escargot, Wurst, Soups good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

The escargot appetizer was a meal. It came in a baguette with a lovely sauce. There were however no posted meals for kids so they had to make something up for my son. My mother was only marginally impressed with the soup.

“Good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Had a great meal and great service. I had the trout with potatoes and onions which was excellent and my husband had the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce and green beans with bacon, almost forget for appetizer had the norwegian salmon on a potato pancake, excellent, desert was apple streudel with ice cream and husband had chocolate marzipan. Wine choices were excellent. Would definitely go back. Prices were very good. There was also a pianist playing all night. Not super fancy inside but good food

“A "must visit" for us whenever in Leavenworth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

We dined here recently when on a short visit to Leavenworth. It was not the first time -- in fact, it's the first place on our list of places to dine when in town. This time we were there for Thanksgiving. And we were thankful that they were open and serving dinner that night. They had a special menu for that evening, including a traditional turkey dinner (which we didn't have), sauerbraten (which I had) and pork medallions (which my husband had). The sauerbraten was awesome -- I think it's on their regular menu so I look forward to having it again. The pork medallions were also a success. And I can speak from past experience: the schnitzel there is mouth-wateringly good.

“Wonderful Place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

This restaurant is really good. It is as good as anything in Seattle. The menu is European with an excellent wine list. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is the perfect place to enjoy and meal after a busy day in the town. I have been there as part of large and small parties. They have made every attempt to get us in and I have never been disappointed. Just be aware that during festivals the town gets really busy. This is a family run business and they continue to improve. They added outdoor seating a few years ago which is a lovely place to sit.

We hope you will dine with us again very soon. Got some wonderful new wines from the old country in our wine cellar. Be sure to ask for me or Christina to pour you one of the new arrivals.
Happy Holidays.
