“Nice place for work and play!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

When I arrived at the Enzian Inn before check-in the front staff was more than accommodating to get me checked in. I was in Leavenworth for a business conference and it was taking place at the Ezian. The room 212 was clean and comfortable the pillows very soft and bed was firm but not too firm......perfect! The room included a small deck area that faced west towards the Cascade mountains, I will include pictures at a later date, it was just beautiful. The Internet was simple to connect and fast enough for what I needed.
I was there March 21-22 and the weather was sunny, clear, and in the 50's fantastic!
The business conference utilized the top level meeting that also served us breakfast and dinner. The food was good I especially enjoyed the omelette and breakfast items. The staff was very professional and I would recommend The Enzian. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, looks like a great place to come during the summer with my girlfriend and enjoy the all the amenities!

Room Tip: Looks like a great pool settting! Try to get a room with a deck!

We stayed two nights with our young son, and we absolutely loved the Enzian Inn. It was such a warm, friendly place with a stunning view of the mountains. The beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed, and more! We so enjoyed the indoor pool (we were there in cool weather so didn't try the outdoor one), and the breakfast was as fabulous as everyone says. We loved the proximity to the town too...a short walk to all that Leavenworth has to offer. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to the quaint little town of Leavenworth.

Room Tip: With our small family, we enjoyed the balcony room with 2 queen beds. GORGOUS view!

Due to an emergency, my wife and two daughters had to stay one more night in Leavenworth after a 5 day holiday and the hotel we were staying at was fully booked so we went searching everywhere for a place to accommodate us. We tried the Enzian as our first option and we were lucky as someone just cancelled a reservation over the phone as we were coming through the door. Lady at reception even said with a smile that I must be the luckiest person alive as they normally wouldn't have an available room under normal circumstances and that they normally don't take people off the street without a proper reservation (?) Needles to say we didn't feel like special guests (even though the room fare was far from cheap).
Hotel is very nicely decorated with what seemed to be genuine german antiques. You had the feeling to be in Germany in a lavish Bavarian hotel back in the 1920's.
Lots of people around relaxing and reading.
Quiet and inspiring environment.
Rooms were decorated in a very traditional rustic German way. Didn't feel like a hotel. It felt like a Paul Von Hindenburg's summer house. Antiques everywhere, nicely dimmed amber lighting everywhere. Nice.
What definitely stole the show in our opinion was the quality of our sleep. The dawn comforters and the beds were AAA. These are probably the best dawn duvets I've ever seen in a hotel. Superb sleep. Even my 7 year old that normally wakes up rain or shine at around 7am no matter the day of the week had trouble waking up!! The real assets of this place are without a doubt the beds.
Next morning we went for breakfast. This was in a buffet type (with the exception of the omelets of course) and we weren't impressed. We were expecting something at par with the rest of what the Enzian offered. Not a chance. I wouldn't say it was bad but it was plain and it felt like breakfast at IKEA.The only thing that stood out at breakfast were the german pastries (Black Forest cake and the apfelstrudel) we didn't enjoy the food at all.
Then it came a clearly german-born gentleman (prob the owner) dressed up in lederhosen (typical german attire) who stood up in the balcony to play the German Horn. Very nice experience.

Queen Room (Non-balcony)

The staff were very friendly and helpful (offering an empty conference room when one of us needed a quiet space for a business call)

Our room was spacious and clean. Noise levels were minimal except when adjoining rooms used their shower or bath - which would typically be at a time when one is trying to sleep in the evening or morning.

The room lacked a few facilities that we like to use - there was no wall safe and no electric kettle to boil water for tea. Hot water could be fetched from a coffee station in the front lobby, although there was no milk - only half-and-half. There was a fridge in the room and a TV.

Breakfast included a daily special and a lot of baked goods choices. The fruit juice was a brand name - not freshly squeezed. Breakfast is enlivened by two short recitals on an alpenhorn - and the breakfast room offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

We would probably stay at the Enzian again if we were to visit the town in future.

I read great reviews and it did not disappoint! Everything was not only clean, but even the lobby smelled delicious. Staff was helpful and pleasant and our view of the snow-capped mountains was spectacular. Room was quiet, room key is not electronic and was a little temperamental. Breakfast buffet was the best I've had! Easy walking distance to downtown shopping as well. Did not take advantage of the raquetball court, exercise room or the massage spa but they looked fabulous.

Room Tip: We stayed along the front of the building and had a great view as well as a nice patio to hang out o...

I was at the Enzian Inn for a Women's Retreat, 2 night stay. If you are looking for a retreat location in North Central Washington, this place is great. Lots of sitting areas throughout the Inn for reading, intimate chats, meditation, quiet work areas. Wonderful fire place in the lobby with oversized seating, Starbucks coffee available at any time, daily Seattle newspapers available as well. An upper lobby area we used for retreat registration. Several conference rooms. Two sundecks, raquetball-sports court, indoor AND outdoor pools with hot tubs, exercise room, massage room. Box games, cards, books available in the upper lobby area. Free Wi-Fi with good connection.

Food is wonderful. Breakfast with made to order omelets, hardy oatmeal, breakfast breads and meats were different each morning. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 but worth the wait. Then at 8:00 AM the Bavarian Horn is blown on the upper deck outside the dining area.

Rooms were very nice. We had a first floor room with a door that stepped out into the pool area. Beds and linens very comfortable, plush towels, quality pool towels in the room (!), bathrobes hanging in the closet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Easy walk to shopping in Leavenworth. I plan to stay here again over the winter holiday with my family. I hear you need to make reservations early!

Every scene and moment at Enzian was charming, from the hand-painted Bavarian murals on the walls to the exquisite indoor pool and jacuzzi area on the bottom level. The alpenhorn performance on the lip of the fourth-floor balcony during breakfast was as exciting as it was entertaining, gently waking up the entire village. Breakfast itself in the large solarium is a great way to start the day, all the fixings plus a table of German pastries. Service was friendly and professional, rooms quiet and nicely furnished. Nice lounges to relax in. The village's extensive outdoor lighting makes a night walk delightful, mesmerizing. Can't wait to go back during summer and golf (putting course) across the street. One of our most relaxing vacations.

Room Tip: We liked our second floor room facing the center courtyard and a gorgeous mountain view to the west...
