“A fun place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at the Enzian for two nights. At check-in, the lady was a little bit blunt and not particularly welcoming, but this was just because they were so busy, and the staff were all very friendly after that.

The room was large and clean, a little old-fashioned but this is not a problem. The bathroom was lovely.

The breakfast was wonderful, on the top floor with a fantastic view and a nice selection of foods. The traditional horn-blowing by Mr. Johnson was fun to see!

There is a huge indoor pool (it was a bit cold though), outdoor pool, common area and everything you could need. There is even a free golf course opposite the hotel.

The location is great, easy to access, close to town but nice and quiet. The town itself is very touristy but a nice place to stay.

I can't fault this place and would recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy Leavenworth!

This was a great inn, close to downtown. Wonderful indoor pool as well as another outdorrs. The complimentary breakfast was spectacular. The breakfast room is on the fourth floor great views. They even had made to order omelettes. This is really a great value.

We were looking for a good place to stay over labor day weekend and didn't want to spend top dollar for a room and found this place. Very close to the downtown area. We can park at the hotel and walk to all the shops and restaurants in the area. Our son had a great time running around at the great putting green that is free to guests. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

We have been coming back here for the past 18 years now each year if we can & each time has been ever so Special to us staying here. There is a Warm Atmosphere that captures our hearts here which feels like home.
The Rooms are so Beautiful, clean & most comfortable & they provide you with a coffee maker if you desire one in your room. Breakfast is such a TREAT here & the Servers are so Charming!!

This was our first trip to the Bavarian themed town. Coming from California, I couldn't help but compare it to Solvang. I have to say it compares favorably. The theme carries tastefully through to every aspect of the town, including the signage at the Howard Johnson! But we wanted to stay in a local place, and we really enjoyed the Enzian. A major highlight was the very diverse amenities they had to offer. A nice outdoor pool and spa in a spacious courtyard. Also an indoor pool area which had an adult swim hour from 10 - 11 pm. We thought that was a great option, just coming from a Holiday Inn where the pool was overtaken by screaming kids. When we checked it out early in the day, though, no one was there. It was also a spacious area and much nicer that you picture for an indoor pool facility. But let's point out: The hotel's patrons were mostly older. We are in our fifties and I'm sure we brought down the average age. While we were checking out the pool, we noticed a room where you can order a massage, and it looked really nice. Another cool thing: Across the street there was an 18 hole putting golf course. It was associated with the inn and a neat little activity to spend an hour or so. Breakfast was decent - they had an omelet chef which excites my significant other quite a bit. The room itself was just so so. It was clean, and not run down, but in need of a refresh. I understand the need to keep the theme, but it was an old fashioned TV and the bed was just acceptable. But the room was spacious and had a nice little balcony. Overall we had a great time, it was a good value, and I would definitely consider it for our next visit.

Room Tip: A better option might be to face to pool, or directly on the street or other side from ours, for the...

My wife and I wanted a place to relax and enjoy some time together and Enzian Inn at Leavenworth was just the place. The breakfast was great and the view and atmosphere was top notch. The Inn was also within easy walking distance to the stores. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time and look forward to staying again in the future.

I chose this Inn based on reviews. We could not get in our first night but booked it for the 2nd. It is a nice, beautiful lobby and the staff really try to accommodate requests but overall this felt like when your airline has overbooked the flight. A good problem for them... not so much for you. It had some really nice things too so here's my assessment:
Pros: good location, easy walk to town and river, free mini gold, breakfast is delicious, staff are polite and kind
Cons: check in was a zoo, despite a request for no feathers, we got feather pillows even though there was a card on the bed saying there was no down in the room (pillows labeled as goose down, see photo) To their credit, staff promptly changed out linens upon request. Air conditioner was old and very very loud. Room felt a bit outdated but was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had AMAZING views of the local canyons but when we left it was a line out the door. They need to offer to deliver omelettes to tables since this was the hold up even for the non-omelette eaters.

Overall, I got the feeling that this was more of an enterprise that is expanding (they are building a new location) than a place committed to a warm and wonderful stay. Maybe it was the wrong week. And there was surely nothing bad about my stay but it just was not the five star stay I was expecting. For the price, it was perfectly fine.

Room Tip: There are lovely mountain views from the breakfast room so that side of the hotel might be very scen...
