“A great hotel in beautiful surrondings..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

We only had one night at the Enzian Inn - but what a great stay! Great service from the staff, all very helpful and smiling. The room was big and clean. We were lucky to meet Bob, the builder and former owner of the hotel and also the one with the Alpenhorn at breakfast. Bob gave us a tour of the hotel and downtown Leavenworth - thank you so much! Breakfast buffet was great - loved the homemade cinnemannrolls! If ever back in Leavenworth - this will be our place!

We spent our 37th anniversary at the Enzian Resort. My husband had found it on line so we had no real knowledge of the resort. We were blown away by the beauty of this facility. Probably the best breakfast brunch we have ever had and the indoor pool with spa was a real treat. We are looking forward to a return visit. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. It made our anniversary very special.

Room Tip: Select a room facing the outdoor pool. We were on the outside facing the street and it got a little...

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Enzian Inn. The staff is helpful, friendly and dressed in understated Bavarian attire.
The room;
Visit April 17 to 20, 2012
We love the old world touches, friendly staff, breakfast and first class rooms and common area.
We were surprised and impressed that the lowest priced queen balcony overlooking the pool, was such a roomy, well kept, modern and comfortable, with some Bavarian accents.

We wanted to stay 3 nights in the queen, but it was booked the last night so we stayed in the Executive room, very romantic, spacious and a treat. Both rooms had a view of the mountains.

Complimentary breakfast:
Wow, omelets cooked to order, bakery quality muffins & cinnamon buns, fresh fruit, breakfast meat, granola, yogurt, etc etc, good coffee and juice in spectacular 180 degree view overlooking the valley and mountains. Alpenhorn each morning for fun and great photos

Piano music in the lobby dining room every night. A great perk and all kinds of tunes. Couples of all ages were cuddling together listing the piano players magic.

Pools & hot tubs inside and outside. Great place for a family and kids, as well as couples

Championship putting course.
A lot of fun just a across the street, putting on real grass, pretty brook and roaring waterfalls. We really enjoyed the little course, it just opened after the snow melted
We would stay at the Enzian again, again and again!!!.
Thanks to the Enzian owners and staff for such a wonderful time in Leavenworth.
We will see you soon

Room Tip: 2nd floor and up has better views.

If you're going to stay in Leavenworth, Enziann Inn is the place to be. Overall it's a nice property, has great service, great amenities and and comfy-cozy rooms.

PROS:

Excellent breakfast
Fantastic customer service
Lovely sitting area at both fire places (upstairs and downstairs) especially for those chilly winter nights
Coffee and tea service in the evening
Indoor/Outdoor pool and spa
Traditional Bavarian atmosphere (somewhat, but closer than many other inns/hotels we've stay at in Leavenworth)
Clean, comfortable rooms
2 blocks from downtown Leavenworth

CONS:

Some of the rooms could use some updates
Downstairs recreational areas seem strangely open and uncomfortable

In this time of huge corporations and chains of hotels, it is wonderful to find the occasional family run operation. This often means the standards of service are not what we might expect as compared to the large hotel chains. However, the minute you enter the Enzian Inn, you know you are in a special place. Everything is done well and well cared for because the people who work there are obviously happy about being there. The included breakfast is the best I have seen- even has omelettes prepared as to your specifications! Partly through your breakfast, promptly at 8:00AM, in walks an elderly gentleman dressed in Lederhosen, to play his alpine horn. He also happens to be the owner of the Inn!

Room Tip: We prefer the "inner" rooms overlooking the patio and swimming pool.

The Enzian Inn is a unique hotel. You just don’t get a clean room with european style bedding. You are the guest of the Johnson family and have the “run of the house”. The day starts with a complimentary breakfast on the forth floor dinning room with great views. The breakfast has an omelet bar and the cook will add any of the many delicious filling choices. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cottage cheese and yogurt are served with minor variations. Hot oatmeal, cereal and toast are self service. The beverages: coffee, tea, fruit juice are all available. The pastry table is another matter, delicious cinnamon rolls, raspberry squares, and other delights. This complimentary breakfast is not a abbreviated breakfast available in many motels. It is a full meal.
Go to the lobby and help yourself to a golf putter, cross the street and enjoy the golf putting green. If it’s sunny take a dip in the outdoor pool or hot tub. If it’s raining take the elevator downstairs and take a swim in a great swimming pool and climb into the hot tub.
The exercise room, hand ball court, and the other activities are located on the lower level. In the evening a pianist plays in the lobby. One evening a young couple with their children were the only audience. The pianist played children’s music. The children were delighted. If you’r in Leavenworth why stay anywhere else?

Room Tip: If you have special needs talk to a person when you make reservations. If you want quiet there are r...
