“Sweet Historic hotel right on the main road!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel on Aug10th. It was just perfect. We Arrived in Laconner a bit early and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. We had a full size room at the end of the hall that looked out over the quaint little courtyard. Our room was shaded by a huge tree, which was nice as it was very warm when we were there. The hotel was very clean and well kept. There was an ice machine and a small frig in the hotel stocked with waters as well as coffee and tea in the lobby for the guests to enjoy. The hotel is situated right on the main road, which makes it very convenient to all the restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again if you are back in the area.

Room Tip: The rooms that look out over the court yard are very quiet.

We stayed at this charming little hotel and loved everything about it. Very clean and cozy. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for an affordable getaway. The hotel is perfectly located for a quick 25 minute drive to the Premier Outlets for some shopping. I forgot my jacket in the room and since we live in Canada, it was not that convenient to drive back to pick it up. I called the hotel and they offered to mail it to me. They picked up the cost. I was impressed! We are looking forward to our next visit to Hotel Planter.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Courtyard are very quiet.

I can find nothing wrong with this hotel. We always stay here when we go to LaConner - which is every couple of years or so. The beds are fantastically comfortable, the rooms are small, but it doesn't matter...we don't spend alot of time in the room anyway. Always greeted warmly by the front desk. This hotel is in the middle of downtown LaConner, within walking distance to everything. We only used the hot tub once a few years ago and if i remember right, it was very nice. It's situated in the back courtyard of the the hotel. The only thing I might suggest is to request a room overlooking the courtyard instead of the street....it can be pretty noisy.

This is an old historic Inn done up with country decor. The room and bathroom were imaculate. The hotel had some very nice touches, great magazines in room and lobby to read. Free water bottles in the fridge next to the ice machine. The hotel had a lovely courtyard with seating and a hot tub. Our room and bed were small. A fluffy duvet and wireless in the room would have made this stay perfect. Location is excellant.

Room Tip: Rooms off the street would be quiet.

No, the rooms don't have great views of the Channel, but that is why we have feet -- a ~10metre walk gets you there. Location is brilliant: Just across the street from Calico Cupboard, and why would you go anywhere else in La Conner for breakfast? My room was small, but very comfortable; the bathroom was lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The courtyard is a beautiful place to sit and think or talk. Bring a bathing suit for the hot tub.

Up a narrow stairway to the second floor, Hotel Planter is across the street from the water with a peak-a-boo view of the channel. Services was good. The room was small (I hit the door on the night stand going into my room.) The bathroom was large. A historic building, but dated finshings pointing to a 1980s remodel. 12 units and ours opened to the landing so we could hear everything. Great windows. Antiquey smell of burning dust. Location is close to everything. Wonderful food across the street and the museum a block away has a legitimate gift shop.
