“Fine Waffles”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

OPH has a great selection of breakfasts, and the best strawberry waffles in season; get there hungry, and ready to wait a while - always a line on weekends.

“Family breakfast favorite for the kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

While the Original Pancake House is a chain, each one has their own flavor. As a couple, and now with the kids, we like the Kirkland OPH for both the atmosphere and the the food. While you wait for a seat, which you will, they have apple pancake slices to keep you from starving.

Heavy on carbs and calories, the food is delicious and generous to the point of absurd.

The omelets are enormous by themselves but also comes with two sides, which includes pancakes and the regular bread products. You will end up taking enough home to snack on the leftovers for several days.

On the menu, they have quite a variety of pancakes including buttermilk, sourdough and crepes.

In season, they have fresh fruit toppings (spring and summer) and pumpkin pancakes(fall and winter).

We don't care for the various potato options but your tastes may; they seem to be popular including the Larry which is a potato and egg scramble.

The atmosphere is noisy and crowded on the weekends. You can call ahead to put yourself on the list but the fact is you will likely wait because it is a pretty popular place. The weekdays are calmer so avoid the weekends if noisy isn't your preference.

Coffee is strong and the only options are cafe and decafe. It is too strong for my wife but I like it.

It isn't inexpensive but we like the warmth, atmosphere and food. Give it a try if you are a breakfast person.

“Good food with ample portions and decent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

I've been here several times and the food is generally very good and portions are amble. The "home fries" were kinda yucky, lacking flavor and in desperate need to some crispyness. The picture attached is of the "Chicken Sausage Omlet" which was tasty.

“Good food, rushed service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

My husband and I went to breakfast with another couple here. I knew the other lady, but our husbands didn't know each other. When we were seated, we were all chatting trying to get to know each other a little before staring at menus. We ordered coffee and juice and told the waitress we'd like a few minutes to talk before ordering. She came back to our table every 3 minutes pressuring us to order food. Finally we told her that we would flag her down when we were ready to order so she did not have to keep coming by. She said that the restaurant was crowded and we'd need to order right away or go back to the lobby and chat there. It was pretty rude. We didn't say anything because it was an awkward situation to be put in when you are first meeting people. We ordered breakfast and the waitresses service was good. Just lacking a welcoming way about her.

“Consistently Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

I've been to this restaurant many times. There's plenty of parking outside and if you don't go during "peak weekend hours" you don't have to wait to be seated.

The serve breakfast and lunch. They are known primarily for their breakfasts.

The food and service is consistently good. I've never had a bad experience. I believe the same family has owned the restaurant for many years. Many of the wait staff have been there several years.

Portions are pretty large! Bring your hungry belly!

If you do go on a weekend, be prepared to wait about 30 minutes if you arrive say between 8:30 AM and 10 AM.

Here's a tip! Call ahead and they will put your name on the waiting list!
