“Some of the best fried fish and chips in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Great view, best fish around. I've only had better fried fish at a family restaurant in Ilwaco. Spud has been around for a long time and there's a good reason why, they do fish right.

“Over priced.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Seafood chowder - thick but not much seafood. Not especially clean. Across from waterfront. Nice local haunt. Friendly folks.

“Local Fish and Chips joint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Been coming to this place off and on since 1975. It is expensive compared to others but food quality is very good. Cannot beat a summer day with take out and walk across to Juanita Beach on the lake. For me, this is what a local Fish and Chips joint is supposed to be like. It's a JOINT. They have a very large menu and you can get fish, clam, and oysters with or without chips. Yes it is deep fried (in canola) but that's what these places do. I think it is a plus that they hire only local high school staff. The kids working there now are the children of my kids friends.
I guess the key words are Local and Joint. Good stuff

“Best Fish and Chips around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

I just read some of the reviews where some didn't rate this place very high. I disagree. This is one of the best fish and chips spots around. Yes, it's pricy but it's high quality fish! There are very few stand-alone places like this still around yet they manage to have lines at just about every lunch. I think it's a classic destination and worth the stop.

“Meh...Expensive.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

Watch them pour your order of whatever you wanted out of a frozen baggie into the vat of oil. Overpriced, in my opinion, for pre-breaded/frozen food. Iconic (certainly not like Ivars) name and definitely an establishment that will serve it's purpose across from a beach park for years to come.
