“Close but no cigar”

Not so good. A little below average. The service is very good but the food I found lacking.

“GREAT Sushi and Japenese food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

The food was wonderful and locals obviously love it as there was a long line to get in when we left. Everything was handmade to order and the fish tasted ocean fresh. If you like sushi/ sashimi you don't want to miss this place as long as you dont mind a rather loud casual atmosphere. We will be back. It is some of the best we have had in the northwest.

“Great weekly specials and Happy Hour prices!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

Met my son for dinner last night at one of our long time favorite spots in Kirkland: Rikki Rikki Sushi. The new bar is really cool and quite the "in" spot in Kirkland! When we got there, we discovered it was Happy Hour in the bar. GREAT selection of Japanese beer, wine, saki, and house special cocktails for $2.95 and food specials from $1.95 - $4.95!
We had a really fun time and a great meal for $20.00 for the two of us!

“Our favorite family restaurant in Kirkland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

When we lived in Kirkland, we would go to Rikki Rikki at least once a month for years, so the staff there felt like family. The Japanese cartoon-styled drawings on the walls are interesting for the kids to analyze, and we parents enjoy the classic jazz music (lots of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong). In addition to the regular Western-style tables, they also have traditional low-table rooms in the back that you can reserve for larger parties. The menu has quite a few vegan options (Rikki Rikki rolls are my favorite), in addition to the standard sushi, traditional Japanese dishes, and a few surprises when you're in the mood for something different (Thai curry, shrimp & candied walnuts, steak & mushrooms). The miso soup is perfect, the black cod is yummy, the calamari tempura appetizer is first rate, the bento boxes are filling for my husband, and the healthy kids' menu items (no-raw-fish sushi, chicken teriyaki, yakitori) are a steal at $4-5 (kids eat free on Tuesdays). If you are looking for a great casual Japanese restaurant with something for everyone, you should definitely try out Rikki Rikki.
