“Wonderful experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

Tried this restaurant thru Dining around Seattle and found the offerings excellent! We had a wide range of selections and they were all excellent! The osso bucco and the boar tenderloin, had by guests, were raved about! I would definitely go back.

“Good but not fab”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013 via mobile

Ate lunch here in Seattle Restaurant Week. The decor is great - modern and fresh. Lovely greeter, waiters ok...one in particular I felt was nervous - maybe he was new? The food was good (I had minestrone, prawns and chocolate pate, while my husband had cauliflower gratin, beef tenderloin and goats cheese cheesecake) and nicely presented. For $15 each, it was a great deal, but it didn't set me on fire. I think I would try other places first before returning.

“A Nice Evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

Intimate spot with excellent flavors throughout. We tried the three-course 'special', and along with a great bottle of wine enjoyed a pleasant business/social evening. Recommended!

“A good Italian lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

I tried Volterra during a Seattle week restaurant event for lunch with some friends and kids. I found it good with a good service. The braised pork was magnificent! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you want to taste authentic Italian food at reasonable price.

“surly service during restaurant week”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

The food was great, but the service was poor. Grouchy faces, no greetings, we had to practically beg and plead for water refills. Maybe the servers were tired of serving the Restaurant Week people, but there's no need for such surliness. As for the food, it was good. Pork cheeks were very tender and tasty. The chioppino was delicious and rich. As fantastic as the food was, I'm not in a rush to return due to the service. BONUS TIP: free parking at the library down the block!
