If you want a home away from home when traveling then the Woodmark Hotel is the place to stay. I stay at the Woodmark every time I am in Seattle for this reason. Not only is the hotel comfortable, complete with a beautiful view of Lake Washington, the staff's hospitality is unmatched. I would recommend the Woodmark every time.

Really enjoied our stay at the Woodmark. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and and seemed genuinely interested that we were taken care of. Offered us a welcome glass of champagne. Room service was fast and very good. Nice presentation on the plate. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

This actual facilities of this hotel are very nice - and when you add the location right on Lake Washington, it makes for a great experience. The staff was great, and we love that they have a hotel dog! His name is Woody, and he's a very playful Golden-Doodle that lives on-site and entertains all the guests :) My wife and I were very impressed and we'll be back for a weekend getaway.

We were looking for a local hotel to celebrate our 37th anniversary AND watch our son and daughter-in-law compete in the Carillon Point Triathalon. The Woodmark provided the perfect solution! Serendipity!
Check-in was a little rocky...no one to greet us and no apparent valet, where do we park? Hauled our luggage into the hotel, checked in and were told to park the car in the underground lot across the way, $12 a night FYI. Much cheaper than most Seattle area hotels.
That was the only "blip" in an otherwise perfect stay! We were upgraded to a glorious suite with a balcony over-looking Lake Washington. Huge, with a bath and a half that were both gorgeous, a large sitting area and dining area as well as the master suite. Flat screen TV's in the living room and bedroom...but who needed those with the views outside! Shortly after check-in we received a split of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! Wow, that was cool!
Ate both dinner and brunch at the Beach Cafe, both had wonderful food and very fun and attentive servers, wish I had noted their names, they were just great!
Sat we took off early to try and find the kids...managed to find and follow our son through his transitions on his first tri! What fun! Caught our daughter-in -law for the finish!
I had requested late check-out so we could watch the race, and miss the traffic and as we came back requested fresh towels at the front desk so the kids could come back and shower...we were on the 4th floor and the maid (at our invitation) joined us on the 3rd floor on the ride up in the elevator...the requested towels were about 10 seconds behind us! WOW
Kids came up and showered, we had saved the champagne to share their accomplishment, what a fun night and day!
Can't say enough good about this hotel! Even their responce to my one complaint was swift. Service is top-notch while still being very fun and friendly folks! Just our style. We are Starwood Gold and this place matched that! Give it a try!

We stayed in a lake view double queen on the weekend and found it surprisingly affordable. We were greeted on arrival by "woody", the hotel's canine host, a labradoo with the patience of a saint (Woody also hosts the hotel's "complaint" department). Later in the weekend, we took the lake cruise with Capt. Chuck in the hotel's vintage 1956 ChrisCraft motor boat - a great experience skimming across Lake Washington and around Lake Union! Rooms are large and fairly lux as one would expect in a good hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and there was always someone around if you need help. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs which are good, if pricey (typical glass of wine is 9 to 10$. We did not try the hotel's famous "raid the pantry" snacks between 11pm and 1am - it sounded great, but we were in bed by then!
As one might expect, this hotel is wedding central on nice summer weekends. The receptions on the two nights we were there ended about 11 and we were able to sleep with the windows open out over the lake.
Although you are on lake washington, be aware that the hotel is in a business development complex and there isn't much shopping around. You can feel a bit isolated. A mile or two down Lake Blvd is the town of Kirkland which is very charming and great for browsing shops and restaurants (think Montana Ave. in Santa Monica). A mile the other direction is the 520 bridge which brings you right into the hustle and bustle of Lake Union and from there, downtown Seattle.

My husband and I stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. There are some good things about this hotel, many of which you won't enjoy if there is a wedding going on during your stay. The noise level from the wedding guests and music was absolutely horrible. We did complain and they moved us a few floors up, but it didn't help very much. We couldn't even enjoy a walk along the water because of all the wedding guests. Drunk people everywhere! So, it was not the relaxing and peaceful weekend we were hoping for. When you book the hotel, you must ask if they are hosting a wedding that evening.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Woodmark and for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to read that your experience was not the same experience that the vast majority of our guest rave about. The Woodmark is a popular wedding destination due to the stunning setting on Lake Washington as well as the level of excellence in service that we aspire to. Clearly on this particular occasion a few individuals attending a wedding misbehaved. For this I sincerely apologize and assure you that this is extremely uncommon. Thank you again and please return early and often.

The Woodmark is truly a charming luxury hotel. The service we experienced was excellent and professional. The rooms were a little small in comparison to other luxury hotels that we have stayed at but they were elegantly appointed and spotless. WE will definitely return on our next trip.
