“Can't wait to stay at the Woodmark again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2010

I've stayed in downtown Seattle several times before cruising to Alaska and decided I wanted something different before my cruise last Fall. I asked friends who live in the area where they would stay for a weekend getaway and they said the Woodmark in Kirkland. A few days before my trip, I injured my arm and knew baggage handling at the airport would be impossible and I was traveling with a lady friend who had similar problems. I called the hotel and they arranged for a car to meet us at the airport and help with our baggage and pick us up and take us to our cruise ship. Our room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of Lake Washington and the yacht harbor. The food at the Beach Cafe was excellent and paired with friendly, efficient service....who could ask for more?? I'm going back at the end of May, this time with my husband to sip wine and watch the beautiful sunsets over the lake.

If you are looking for luxury lodging with a fabulous location the Woodmark is hard to beat! The service was excellent, the rooms beautifully appointed and with wonderful lake views, and the food in the casual cafe tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely return on our next visit to the Seattle area

The Woodmark is a very nice, upscale hotel situated right on the lake. On the one hand, the location is beautifully situated for the view of the lake, but on the other, it's not within walking distance to downtown Kirkland. So, while there is a boutique shopping center right there, there's not plenty of restaurants to choose from in walking distance.

Bed was very comfortable, HD TV signal (on most channels), room nicely appointed and roomy. I agree with earlier reviews that the "creekside" view is of a parking lot (at least from the higher floors".

Unfortunately no swimming pool, but access to a fitness center (did not visit). Valet parking for a charge or self-park. Both restaurants I ate at were good, and while the "raid the pantry" late-night snack is an interesting idea, it's no fun if no one else goes there. The Library lounge area can be a great congregating space for small groups, and seemed to be largely available.

They just got a new Labradoodle puppy "team member", which is charming, especially if you like dogs.

Nice location - the Hotel is getting a little dated but the staff is friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, great restaurants and staff was phenomenal. Lots of romance, beautiful sunsets and relaxing strolls along the lake. We left a 5 star hotel early and found this place to stay. Be careful, the "creekview" is a very liberal creative description, since there was no real creek, just roof and office building. It is worth paying extra to get a view room. Take advantage of the kayaks and go out on the lake. It's only about 30 minutes from the wineries and lots of great shopping and restaurants in town.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the end of June. Upgraded to a palour room with a partial lake view. Room had a living room plus a separate bedroom. Room was perfect, clean, updated and quiet.
Location was on the lake with good restaurants and a starbucks right outside the door.
Take a tour (2 hours) of the lake on their boat for $10 or use one of the kayaks(single & double) at the dock. Walk to the center of Kirkland (20 min.) for more restaurants and shops. Belevue Mall was only a short drive away.
Staff was outstanding! Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed just one night with our family of 4. Very friendly staff, very helpful and welcoming. There was a beautiful Bentley parked right outside the door and we were a little concerned that our very casual appearance might result in the staff looking down upon us, but that was definitely not the case. We requested an upgrade to a lakeview room and got it right away.

The room was average size but well-appointed. The beds were very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant on the premises and were impressed by the food. Very delicious and they had a kids menu too!

The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is right on the water. The pictures of the exterior of the hotel on its website do not do it justice.

We got a very good rate from the Entertainment Card website.
