I give the Woodmark a solid 4 stars for nice rooms and pleasant staff in a very nice setting. Try to avoid the rooms that face the "marina" -- you do see the marina and a bit of the lake, but the rooms overlook a cobblestone circular drive and valet parking, so it's not as quiet as the lake view rooms. The room that I had was very nice, but not special. The work space was average, there were not enough outlets, and the bathroom did not have a single hook or towel rack (although plenty of shelves) near the sink.
Breakfast was a big disappointment. On the first morning, I had an early meeting to drive to, so I ordered room service. Bad idea. Breakfast was not delivered during the 15 minute, so I called and they said it was on its way. But it was not on its way, and I had to call again. Finally, breakfast was delivered 15 minutes late, with one item missing, and one incorrect item. The next morning I had breakfast in the informal restaurant overlooking the lake. Great view, lousy breakfast. I appreciate the generous portion of cereal (albeit for $6.00), but providing a tiny 4 ounce serving of milk with it just does not make sense. Upon request, the waitress promptly brought more milk, but why should I have to ask?
Avoid rooms facing the marina.

As the Hotel's General Manager I wanted to immediately reach out to say we appreciate your input but was concerned that the overall experience did not meet / exceed your satisfaction.
Our apologies 1st on the particular room type and wish I had had the opportunity to meet with you on property. The hotel has multiple room configurations and associated views and would have worked diligently in sourcing an alternative that would have better met your needs.
I also have shared your food and beverage comments with our Leadership team to insure we meet with our staff today and work towards ways we can make immediate improvements on both product and service going forward. We are committed to insuring that our service is consistently high and do not want to replicate what you encountered in the future.
