“The only place to stay in the North West”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

This hotel is like an extension of your own home with an extended family waiting for you to arrive. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and every single member of staff have a smile everyday. The location is perfect for Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond. The facilities and little touches make this hotel a destination for me over and over again. The food is great and the bar atmosphere warm. The free wifi that just works all over the hotel is must nowadays.
Each room is tastefully furnished and have LCD TVs and Molten Brown bathroom accessories.

Room Tip: They are all great rooms but if you want one with a lake view you need to ask. I would recommend a...

Boyfriend and I spent one night at the Woodmark before a business trip to Bothell. We stayed in one of the partial lakeview rooms and it was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was stunning with many great amenities. After taking a leisure walk around the lake, we borrowed the bikes to ride into town to check out the restaurants and shops. We didn't see the resident dog because it was his day off that day. We also didn't get to experience the "Raid the Pantry" because we had a late dinner. I guess it will be on our to-do list when we return to the Woodmark next time.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for sharing your experience at the Woodmark with the readers of Trip Advisor. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of the hotel during your last stay including riding our bikes downtown. We do look forward to you returning so you can enjoy our "Raid the Pantry" feature and visit with our mascot Woody.

The setting of the Woodmark is lovely, though it is somewhat removed from the center of town where restaurants and shops are located. The staff was friendly and our room facing the water was bright and sunny. I liked the small amenties such as a variety of glasses in the room. The weather during our stay was too windy and cool for us to take advantage of the kayaks or cruise boat--or even our very small balcony--but I can imagine that they would be fun in the summer. I was impressed that they had the New York Times (complimentary) at the front desk. Their casual restaurant, Beach Cafe, was a disappointment -- slow and inattentive service, high prices, so-so food. Overall, we had a very nice stay on a SniqueAway deal, but I don't think I'd recommend the hotel at their rack rates.

Great views. Great room with all amenities, including free wifi. Nice village nestled here at waterside. Staff are well above par, from front desk, to bellman, to restaurant/bar staff. Highly recommend for business or personal stay

This hotel has a lovely location on Lake Washington. The service is excellent. The property is well kept, and the free kayaks are great if the weather is good.
They are very nice as an event center, but if you want seclusion & romance, it is best to discuss your room selection in advance with them when booking to be certain that you aren't looking over a crowd.
I had mentioned that it was my birthday. I was greeted with champagne on check in and 2 little bottles + a nice display of 2 happy birthday cupcakes in the room. Very Sweet!
This place would be ideal for a wedding or conference, and also nice for a getaway. It would be fun with kids. They allow dogs. The dogs staying there were very well behaved and charming.

Room Tip: Some of the King balcony rooms overlook the event tent area. The views are lovely, however.

Dear Guest,

I'm so glad you were able to use our kayaks on the lake when you stayed with us on your birthday. The cupcakes and champagne is our way of acknowledging your special occasion. Our pastry chef enjoys this part of her job.

Looking forward to seeing you stay with us the next time you're in town.

I am attending a conference on the Microsoft campus and the recommended hotels were the typical in Bellevue. I wanted to be on Lake Washington. This boutique hotel is a gem with OUTSTANDING employees, always ready with a smile and wanting to make your day. After the conference a run or walk along the lake is a great way to spend the evening, and right up the road is the high street of Kirkland with nice shops, restaurants, and ambiance. Really a beautiful spot and tasteful renovated rooms. If you look hard you can tell it is an older property but it has been renovated and updated tastefully and has lots of eastside Seattle northwest charm.

We have not been back since the rooms were remodeled with the amazing spa tub and shower. The room was larger, the bed perfectly comfortable and the opportunity to purchase treats, martini fixings and a full refrigerator was a nice touch.

The staff was kind, the valet parking reasonable and available on a 11PM arrival. Disappointed in the "raid the pantry'. Except for a couple of wrapped half sandwiches everything was clipped on the wall pre-packaged, jars of gummie bears, and a Chex mix. I do remember when "raid the pantry" was a trip to the kitchen with the chance to make a sandwich which seemed so sinfully fun.

This time I truly felt like we were further away from the city. What is it about water that takes us further away from our typical days. Thank you and I promise to not wait as long next time.

Room Tip: We found the hotel to be very quiet. You can request a lakeside room, a little more expensive or a r...
