“Best food in town , great sandwiches!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Tucked away in the Albertson's Mall at Country Corner in Kingston is the best kept secret in Kingston. Great breakfast, sandwiches, and chocolatey mocha around. Go shop and have lunch.

“Kingston finally has an outstanding place for breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

After a wintery sunrise stroll at Point-No-Point, we were ready for a decent breakfast somewhere in Kingston. In Kingston, or anywhere in the North Kitsap area, this can be a hit or miss chance at best. But we got lucky, really lucky.

I suppose one down side is the cafe is located in an ordinary Albertsons based strip mall at Georges Corner. But once inside the small cafe, you felt immediately refreshed and comfortable. Interesting paintings by Paul Polson, I hope I got his name right, decorated the walls surrounding well laid out seating.

The entire cafe was spotless, including restroom facilities. This is a green light indicator to me on how well my food I am about to eat was stored and prepared. It also shows how professional the Owner and crew is.

I had the Joes Special with rye bread and hashbrowns and my wife ordered eggs benedict. My wife is not a big meat eater, but raved about the smokey quality of the thinly sliced ham. My food was substantial and very good. Ingredients were of excellent quality. My only complaint was that the portions were a bit too large. Both meals were under 10 bucks. That's incredible, compared to other recommended eateries in the area.

I understand lunch subs are served on toasted baguettes from the new Borrowed Kitchen Bakery in Kingston. The bakery deserves its own review as the best bakery in North Kitasp, surpassing the quality of Sluys Bakery in Poulsbo.

For the food game player, you can try the Sounder Pounder Challenge, which is a 18 egg scamble including sausage, ham, bacon, peppers, onions, hashbrowns, tomatoes, spinach, and topped off with cheese and gravy. And of course, it comes with toast. All free if you can eat it all, or 20 bucks if you can't. Heck, 20 bucks for all that ain't a bad deal. They have pictures of the losers posted in the restroom and winners inside the cafe.

Oh, I almost forgot, the staff was excellent and just good people. I hope they can keep it up.
