“Below average, way below”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012 via mobile

15.95 for the buffet is a lot to ask when half the hot dishes were cold. Salad bar is good, not great, but good. Food selection limited. Understand their fri/sat is the time to go. I probably will not...

“The Bistro was great on all points!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here last night. First-time diners and were somewhat skeptical after reading the reviews but were very pleasantly surprised!

Hubby had the New York steak & lobster, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, asparagus & I had the double Maine Lobster tails, loaded baked potato & the asparagus. The steak was cooked as ordered and hubby was very pleased. We each had a glass of house wine, coffee and dessert. The bill was $100 + tip. Service was very good to excellent - server could have checked back a little more often but still was alright.
Very pleased that the smoke from the casino does not pollute the Bistro! The acoustics in the room are a little off...could hear other diners but difficult to hear each other at times. Also, in the early evening, before the lighting is increased, it can be a little hard to read the menu (as commented on by the party sitting in the next booth).
It's a little out of the way but for the great meal we had, we definitely will return.

“Food service staff needs customer service training!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

Don't ever eat in the bistro...the staff has no idea what customer service is. If you have a complaint the servers will lie to your face to avoid having to accommodate your complaint. If you get as far as talking to the manager he will argue with you and do absolutely to correct the situation even if your complaint is because of mistake they have made. My family, friends and I have never been treated so poorly and will never eat at any venue at The Point Casino again! Plus a soda that is free everywhere in the casino costs $1.50 in the bistro.

“Old casino compared to new casino”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

We much perfer the old casino. We tried the new casino buffet and were very dissapointed, especially for the price. They have a very long way to go before I will eat there again. We decided to try their long standing Tues night steak night. Got on line to check it out and it was still listed but after asking friend to come join us we found out that they no longer do the steak night even though their web site says they do. Another disapointment. A few days later my boss and husband ate there and they hardly ate anything, they said the food was terrible and they will never eat there again. Also spoke to 2 other friends that ate there and I got the same report - NEVER AGAIN. Everyone I talked to said that the slots were so tight that they all lost several hundreds of dollars. I know casinos build because it is a win situation for them but you would think that considering it is a new casino trying to build customers that either their food would be exceptional or the slots would pay better. considering how many people I talked to, some one would of had at least a break even or medicore gambling experience or at the very least enjoyed their dinner. SO DISAPPOINTING
