“Good value for Grand Coulee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

As others have mentioned, the Grand Coulee Center Lodge Motel was quite old and unassuming on the outside (virtually all hotels near Grand Coulee Dam are). However, our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Also, the continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise - with a lot of variety (including hard boiled eggs). And it was convenient to the evening laser light show at the dam. We would stay here again in the future.

Thank you for your response! Mine is late in coming. Trip Advisor is a great tool for the travelers and the facility owners. We do have a small breakfast area. We are the only Hotel in the area that does, although it is small. That area used to be the office and we took out the living quarters and created our breakfast area. We do have 2 more tables right outside and tables in the courtyard. Please mention this response and receive a discount on your stay!

I like this hotel, its very close to the dam .Rooms are nice n clean. They also have free continental breakfast:)(cheese cake is so yummy...). Take your breakfast to your room because there are only 2 tables.Bathrooms are smaller ,but really good for a night stay.

The room is exceptionally clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom is large if a little dated. The room is very small and we were bumping into each other. However the bed was comfortable and we slept well. Charming courtyard with tables to sit for a drink or breakfast.
Overall a nice choice

Let's be honest, you're not going to find the Westin in the Coulee area and my family used to staying at upper end hotels was fairly shocked when we pulled in here. Although clearly retro on the outside, inside the rooms are updated, clean and well maintained. We were all pleasantly surprised. And there were nice helpful touches like menus from all the restaurants, local maps and a grill on the patio. Clearly the management has pride in ownership.

Thank you so much for your response. Mine is very late in coming. Catching up with all the social media. Trip Advisor is a great tool for travelers and hotel owners. Thank you for commenting on the amenities. This motel was 2 motels and partially closed when we purchased them. They were both built during 1935. We did as much as we could to the outside so that we could put in the comforts on the inside. We have added every year. We have a great staff from front desk, housekeeping and maintenance! Your eyes and their eyes help us improve. If everin the area again mention this response and receive a discount!

We needed multiple rooms for family members in town to attend a funeral. The staff were incredibly helpful, not only in making the last minute reservations (and subsequent changes), but in their service over all. They really went out of their way to help us with every question or request.
Yes, the motel has been around for while, but as long as it is clean - I am happy.
The two separate single rooms we had were small - but that was OK. We only needed to sleep there. The Double room (two separate bedrooms attached to a single bath) was larger. All were clean and in good repair. And the beds were surprisingly comfortable.
The breakfast was simple, but we didn't need more.
The parking lot could have used some salt to melt the ice/packed snow, but we realize that salt is not often used out west like it is here in the midwest.
If you are looking for simple, clean and a great value - this is the place.

Thank you for your response! Mine is very late in coming. Just catching up to all the social media sites. Trip Advisor is a great tool for travelers and owners. We do have a great staff from front desk , housekeeping and maintenance. Yes, you are correct about the salt, but we have a new product that we use that does not eat up the parking lot and the concrete. And yes the motel has been around since 1935 and we have updated the outside , but put the most into the comforts of the inside. Since you were here we have updated again. When we first drove up to this motel, it took me back in time to the 50s. It looked nice from the outside, but I was worried about the the inside. I opened the door with a key (no key cards here), and to my surprise everything was updated! The rooms are small, but they had a small refrigerator, microwave and table and chairs. There is even a gas grill outside in the courtyard for your use. Also, they are pet friendly. We would stay here again.
