“awesome lodge, great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2006

we stayed at kalaloch in september and had a wonderful time.
the service was freindly, the cabins were cozy, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves and we both thought the food was fabulous. the one night we didn't cook in our cabin we ate at the restuarant, got a great window seat with a veiw of the sunset, we each got the specials, i had the steak and prawn chimichurra, which was probably the best steak i have ever had and my wife got the crab and prawn pasta with grilled artichikes and sundried tomatos. my only complaint was that it didn't rain at all, it was sunny and warm every day. (i like rain)

“Bad Food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2005

They may have hired a professional chef to write their menu, but they have second string line cooks from Forks prepare it. The meals sound swanky and cost swank, but the actual food is the quality of what you get at Denny's, probably the place they hired the cooks from. I wouldn't have minded paying about half of what we paid for dinner, but at the cost of about 30.00 per person, it wasn't worth it.
Breakfast prices and quality were more in line with each other, though they could improve their presentation by offering real maple syrup instead of flavored high fructose corn syrup.
