“Lovely and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2007

As a single woman traveler who likes to keep to herself, I was a bit nervous about staying at a B&B for the first time. But in the end, I was quite pleased with my experience at the Miller Tree. It had exactly what I needed--privacy, with a nice clean room with its own TV and own bathroom, yet also people around to see briefly at breakfast, and a nice, friendly staff that was there when you needed them, not there when you didn't. I visited during the almost-off season, so there were only two other couples there. Also, the owners were not there (vacation, I assume), but the woman who was inn-sitting was wonderful and made a fantastic breakfast. My room (the Minnie Room) was small, but fine for a single traveler, especially since the whole point of vacationing on the Olympic Peninsula is to be outdoors anyway. It was exteremely clean, and again, had a bathroom and TV. The common areas downstairs are full of books and a cute, friendly lap cat. The inn-sitter was very helpful with information on the beaches and tides, etc.
The next time I travel to Forks, I will definitely stay at the Miller Tree.

The Miller Tree Inn was perfect in every detail. The hosts, Bill and Susan Brager, leave a strong impression that they love their work, love having you in their B & B, and truly enjoy making sure your stay is wonderful. Forks is a remote area, and they both know it very well, so that helps in planning what to do in the Olympic Peninsula area. We stayed in a beautiful two-room suite. From the big things, like easy access, good beds, wonderful views, tasty breakfasts, all were superb. They also provided for all the little extra things that make a stay wonderful. The room's little refrigerator contained bottled water and a range of juices and other drinks. The room was equipped with a knife, a cheese board, a wine opener, all the little thoughtful touches, spa robes and even a rubber ducky for the jacuzzi. They do it all. Their downstairs snack area was always well supplied with delicious goodies available 24/7. They introduced us to the other guests and gave us enough little details that we could strike up conversations easily. As I say, The Miller Tree Inn was perfect in every detail. Can't wait to go back.

We spent 4 nights at the Miller Tree Inn while exploring the Olympic Penisula. We stayed in the Weathervane room which is on the 3rd floor in what is really the attic of the old farm house. The room was little but very comfortable. The innkeepers, Bill and Susan, were both very nice. They certainly made us feel at home. It was like staying with relatives. Breakfasts were good, there was a coffee pot on each table. Juice and breakfast breads were self serve. If you didn't want the main entree Susan would cook eggs to order. During the day there were selfserve snacks and hot water for tea or hot chocolate. The town of Forks is small with not many restaurants but the people were all very friendly. It was a good location to explore the area including the beachs and the rainforest.

Five of us stayed in 3 rooms at the Miller Tree Inn this June. The proprietors are truly a lovely couple...very accommodating and so pleasant. The rooms were clean, outfitted with fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs, and lots of thoughtful and unexpected touches. The setting is very peaceful, next to a cow farm with country views all around. Breakfast was excellent, too. Town was a short drive with a modest selection of restaurants for dinner and a full service grocery. We would definitely recommend the Miller Tree Inn for a homebase in exploring the Olympic Peninsula. 5 stars!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Miller Tree Inn. We stayed in the Country Clover room and it had a great jacuzzi hot tub and all the amenities of home. Bill and Susan were excellent hosts and they really made us feel at home, with their home-cooked breakfasts, friendliness and casual atmosphere. They were very accomodating to the fishermen who were staying there, as well, even serving breakfast at 0530 to get them ready for a long day on the boat! We will definitely go back to Forks to stay at the Miller Tree Inn and would recommend it to anyone.

As we toured the Pacific Northwest and really wanted to see the coast & Olympic National Park, Forks was a natural place to spend a night. This charming little B&B was like staying with family. Just driving into the driveway - it's a welcoming scene. We stayed in the Orchard Suite with our almost 2-yr old, and Bill & Susan had stocked it with snacks & beverages. Upon arrival they offered us lemonade, and pointed out the elk in the field nearby. It was a very peaceful place - my husband enjoyed the hammock and my son happily ran around the yard. Bill gave us directions to get to the nearest beach at LaPush to watch the sunset, and after a ho-hum dinner in town, we wished we'd taken his advice on getting burgers & milkshakes at the beach stand. Breakfast was the most amazing french toast w/sausage and lots of pastries, fruit, our own pot of coffee, and other beverages. (I'm still trying to duplicate the recipe! I believe it may be in the Bed & Breakfasts of Washington State cookbooks they had for sale in the front living room though.) With our toddler, we sat in the breakfast nook, but still enjoyed Bill introducing us to all the guests at breakfast. After we lingered in the kitchen and talked about other sights - Bill was right on again with his recommendation by sending us to Hurricane Ridge. Overall, the Inn isn't a fancy hotel, but it's got heart, comfort, warm hospitality, and a delicious breakfast. It really was like staying with family. Thank you Bill & Susan

What a wonderful place to stay, the owners, Bill and Susan have anticipated guests needs and wants and have provided for them. They go above and beyond to help anyway they can. The breakfast is great and there is a cherry tree right outside and you can pick and eat cherries to your hearts content. This is not a fancy place, but I couldn't think of a better place to spend a night or a week. Jodi
