This place is worth a stop if you are trying to "kill time." I enjoy the trails more and the fact that I can walk my dog in the open areas . It is very pretty and well kept. Just takes about 15 minutes to see the garden. Not sure if this is Weyerhauser grounds or not.
Interesting place. Easy to get to, seems a worls away yet right off of freeway. Even my 5 year old enjoyed it.
A beautiful park with great flowers. And we loved the
gift shop! Easy walking trails. A great family trip for
a spring afternoon.
The Weyerhaeuser grounds are park-like and impressive. The headquarters building is very eco-friendly looking and natural in its surroundings. The Rhody garden is a stroll through beauty and very informative. Be prepared to be impressed! This is located outdoors and can be very rainy, so come prepared with rain gear and good walking shoes.
We have visiting the RSBG many times and each time is a surprise. There is always something blooming. The people working or volunteering there are knowledgeable and helpful. The macrophylum is Washington's state flower and is represented here. The gardens represent plants from all over the world, and were collected at peril in many instances. The colors will astound you! If you visit western Washington and you are a gardener, this is a 'must see'.
