I stayed there the last weekend of August 2006 with my two daughters. Overall we had a great weekend.

Room:
When we arrived, I noticed the carpet was dirty. My daughter found a piece of dried up corn on the floor and, the bathtub needed to be re-caulked (gross black stuff around the edges). I phoned the front desk and I was told it would be taken care of. We went out for lunch and when we returned, the room was clean and the tub was freshly re-caulked.
I requsted a room facing the courtyard with a balcony. I got it. Nice view.

The Pool:
My kids loved the pool. I found it a little busy and noisy (lots of other kids and teenagers running around).

Restaurant:
Buffet breakfast was included in our package. The food was good, kids liked it especially the waffle making station. Service was horrible. The waitress only came around to take my voucher but did not acknowledge me after that. I helped myself to coffee which I noticed she served to other people?

Front desk:
Professional, polite and courteous, very nice.

Location:
Right across the street from a nice mall. Close to many family type restaurants and driving distance from the theme park. About half an hour from downtown Seattle.

Overall:
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. It is a good family hotel and is good value for your money.

    • Liked — close to theme park and shopping
    • Disliked — dirty room, but it was taken care off, also unfriendly waitress

I just spent a week end business/liesure trip at this hotel. My room was clean and had a small fridge. My disappointment is with the direct reservation that I made. As a marriott rewards customer I thought there might have been a benefit. I was charged the full price although the company I was with had registered at the hotel. Two other associates were charged a lesser price for the same type of room. I clarified with the desk three times as to why I was staying in the hotel. But to no advantage.

I enjoyed the excercise facilities, but the room needed cleaning and I could not use the indoor pool as the locker room was out of use with the door taped shut. This would have left me to walk through the lobby in my swimming suit.

Only other disappoinment - that on a Sunday morning there was only one carafe of coffee left in lobby, which tended to be empty.
As there is no complimentary breakfast etc. I went searching for something less than a full breakfast buffet. (Which is all the hotel offered.)

This hotel is one of the best in this area. But I remain disappointed.

We stay in a hotel near our son and family as they do not have space for us when we visit. When our former favorite spot began to deteriorate in service and other ways, we opted to try again. We have had good experience with Marriott Courtyards in other cities.

This will be our new "home away from home." It was absolutely spotlessly clean. Very high level of care given to routine maintenance so everything was sparkling. When I look at the bathroom floor of any hotel and see very clean tiles, especially in the corners, I know they clean this place thoroughly. Turned down the bed and knew I did not have to wonder if sheets had been "used" and remade. It looked so fresh. All amenities expected by us were there. Spacious room.

Family joined us for breakfast one morning and we expected to pay an arm and a leg. It was a completely outstanding meal and the bill didn't even make us blink. We'll go back/

I stayed at this property for 1 night prior to a morning flight out of Sea-Tac. I received the hotel via a 3rd party, so I received a lower than normal rate. It was also the reason why I was most likely given a handicap room. From the pictures on this site, the handicap room didn't seem too different. No sink in the bathroom, two safety latches and peepholes on the door, and wider than normal doors. The shower was still a shower/tub combination, and not a walk in shower.

The room itself was your standard Courtyard room. TV offerings seemed to be better than most Courtyard's that I have stayed at. Internet access was available both via ethernet and wi-fi. Electrical outlets were provided on the desktop (via lamp) where the ethernet cord was.

What set's this hotel apart from other Courtyard's were the services available. The hotel has a large indoor pool with hot tub, work out facility, multiple meeting rooms, bar, full service restaurant, free coffee/tea and cookies, and a mini shop. I should also mention that it seems like the normal rate includes a free breakfast (not sure of this).

A couple of last things to note. On the weekends, it seems like a lot of little league teams use this hotel. We were lucky, as our floor wasn't too noisy. Also, when leaving the hotel in the morning, we saw the police outside. Someone's car was stolen from the parking lot. From listening to the conversation, it sounds like this wasn't the first time that this has happened.

My mother and I arrived at the Courtyard on June 16. Check-in was quick and easy, and the lady who checked us in (Diana) was very friendly. We took one of the two glass elevators up to the fifth floor and entered our room (520) - it had two queen beds, just as we had requested. One very nice feature about the Courtyard's queen/queen rooms is that they all have double vanities - one sink/mirror inside the bathroom and one right outside of it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the presence of a balcony we could walk out onto. We could also tilt the sliding balcony door for ventilation. Our room was equipped with a large desk and chair as well as a mini-fridge. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water (even for my long showers). Everything was extremely clean.

The Courtyard Café was open for dinner, but we opted to eat at the Red Lobster just a couple minutes away on the main road (320th Street). The food was fantastic there.

I went down to use the pool that night; the water was kept at a very comfortable temperature, nice and warm. I never used the hot tub, but there were many people in it, so I guess it was pretty comfortable.

In the morning, we were originally planning to eat breakfast in the Courtyard Café, but we slept in a little bit and didn't have time (we told our relatives we'd be at their house by a certain time). It also looked very clean; as we exited the hotel, we saw many people eating breakfast there.

If I was ever in the Federal Way area again, I'd definitely choose the Courtyard. The staff, amenities, cleanliness, value, and location of this place just can't be beat.
