“Remodeled - Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

This is a newly remodeled Econo Lodge. Very clean, nicely redone. New linen too. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was off the main road so was very quiet at night. They do have a small breakfast bar, would be nice if they would expand the items available.

“Works as a Seattle vacation base”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

It's a bit of a drive (30-60 minutes depending on traffic) to Seattle downtown, but we liked our initial three nights here so much we ended up extending our stay by a further two. Federal Way is a nice, quiet little city, with everything you need to stock up on a road trip or enjoy a quiet day. It's a short drive to a number of beaches - we spent an afternoon at the Des Moines marina on a rare sunny day. There's a great diner (Black Bear) just down the street and all the US default services you need right around the block - Macy's, Target, Starbucks, etc.

The staff ranges from very friendly to businesslike. The premises are clean and safe. There can be noise from the rooms above or if adjoined by a door, if you happen to have loud neighbors. Traffic noise is minimal. The neighborhood is nice.

Breakfast is one of the better ones we've seen on this trip in comparable motels - nothing special, but the coffee is good, there's bake-your-own pancakes, the butter is butter and not some unrecognizable lookalike.

“Fine for the night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2012

I just needed a cheap bed for the night and got it here. 70 bucks for a king for one night. The sheets were a bit scratchy, but not enough to keep you awake. Frankly, it was good quality for the price. The bathroom was clean, and if anything it was TOO quiet lol! I had to turn on some music to put me to sleep. The breakfast kinda sucked, but it was free.
OH, the hotel does not have wifi, you have to use the city wifi if you want free internet. So it's super slow.
The staff were super nice and friendly, actually going out of their way to make conversation.
All in all, if you need a cheap bed for the night; I'd recommend here in a heart beat.

“Best Kept Secret in Federal Way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

My family just stayed for 4 nights and we were very favorably impressed. The hotel is newly opened and is very clean. The breakfast is speedy and meets expectations. The location is so convenient to the interstate, yet is tucked back off old Hwy 99. We felt very safe here and it is so quiet at night, we slept great! The staff were very accommodating and helpful. A great value! We will return and will recommend this to everyone! The only criticism I have is that the rooms actually have double beds, not queens. But the rooms have mini-fridges, iron and ironing board, blow dryer, and some even have a small microwave in them. We had connecting rooms, which was great, too.

Room Tip: The elevator dings loudly as it arrives and leaves each floor, so it would be advisable to avoid the...
