“Not Enough Food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

We went to the Prohibition Grille recently and I must say it is the only time we have ever left a restaurant hungry. We both had the stroganoff--which was good. But that is all it was. They did not serve bread or salad with the entree. On top of that, we were in the back room, so we could not see the live jazz musician. Fortunately, there is a Mexican restaurant next door and we went and had appetizers after eating at the PG. (BTW, we are not big eaters at all). Seriously, how much would it have cost to serve bread or a house salad with the entree. Eat before you go!

“Depressing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We loved PG before Chef Ramsey did his thing and changed the menu....if you can call a handful of dishes a menu. Yes, the place has never looked nicer, but we went for the food and the atmosphere, not the decor. Gone are all our favorites...sweet potato fries that were to die for, fried green tomatoes that you just can't find anywhere else, delicious southern dishes that made your tastebuds sing for joy.
We went there on a Saturday night. Typically, the place would be packed and we would have to wait to be seated. The fact that it was half empty and we were seated immediately should have been a clue. We actually asked our server where the "real" menu was after looking over the new menu that was on the table. Sadly, I can't comment on the quality of the food because we left without eating. There wasn't one thing on the paltry menu that interested either one of us to consider staying. We won't go back...unless we hear they've gone back to their old style of food, then we might give it a shot. Sad.

“So Sad in Everett”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

Could not stand it before, Gordan Ramsey comes in and is said to have whipped this place into shape, could not wait to give it another try. So very sad, the place looks great inside, the menu is easy & clean, the service was good.... But the food sucks. Lets face it, how do you screw up French fries? You under cook them - raw fries. Salad - yuck. Fish - frozen & chef microwave prepared for me? Disappointed & will never go back - not even the bar made a good drink. They are trying but really missed it, not the worst place in Everett but really only one step up from Denny's.

“Gordon Ramsay didnt help”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Even after the name change and the menu change and the remodel it sucks. Went there for lunch after they reopened as the Gastropub. !5 bucks for fish and chips for lunch. 4 pieces about the size of silver dollar pancakes. pulled off most of the breading that was doughy in places and the pile of breading was just slightly smaller than the original pile of fish. the fries were luke warm. client had chicken pot pie for $10 and said it was okay. Not impressed
wont go back
Should have gone to Anthony's. Would have been cheaper, better and had a view.
This place is doomed

“They need to change their menu back to the old one”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We enjoyed this restaurant many times when they had cornbread from Heaven, sweet potato fries with special sauce and entrees which were unexpectedly good. The old menu was a bit pricey but meals were very large and could be split. Tonight was just O.K. Meatloaf was acceptable but not mouth watering. Salad was small for the $8 charge and the promise of a wedge of iceberg lettuce turned out to be a thin layer. Dessert was excellent. It is rumored that they are going to add back some of the old favorite menu items. I hope they do this soon.
