“Truly outstanding B&B... Absolutely loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

The Wren's Nest is blessed with both being in a lovely, tastefully decorated, house but (more importantly) in having an absolutely charming and welcoming owner, Marcia, who made our stay there really special. We arrived in the early evening, and she had fresh lemonade and cookies waiting for us in the living room, which was a really nice way to start our trip. The bedrooms are excellent (the bed was incredibly comfortable) and the shared bathroom is also very nice. In addition, it has a fast (free) wifi connection and a nice view of the neighbourhood. The B&B was only about five minutes walk from downtown Ellensburg. The breakfast in the morning was terrific (home muffins, fruit salad, and eggs), and the coffee was great. Marcia was always very helpful with local advice on things to do and places to eat. Would return in a flash!

The Wren's Nest was a beautiful vintage B&B located in the heart of Ellensburg. We arrived at around 5pm and were immediately greeted by the wonderful owner, Marcia. Marcia brought us fresh lemonade and cookies and provided us with stories about the town and the area. She was warm, welcoming and an excellent baker!

The bed and the quilts provided us with the best nights sleep on the entire trip and we awoke to the most delicious breakfast (fresh baked muffins, eggs and a fresh fruit salad). I was sad to say goodbye to The Wren's Nest and I wouldn't hesitate staying again. Thanks Marcia! You're a wonderful host!

This is a lovely 1912 house which is immaculately furnished & extremely homely. The property is within easy & flat walking distance to the centre of Ellensburg where there are a few nice restaurants & cafes to choose from. The freshly prepared breakfast was delicious by Marcia, the owner, who was a lovely, friendly host. We couldn't fault the Wren's Nest in any way & would recommend anyone to stay there.

I have stayed here with friends many times over many years. Why keep coming back? The owner and her committment to comfort and fine food and company for starters. There is always a visit upon arrival with cookies or brownies and iced tea or lemonade. Insights as to where to go and what to do in and around town are helpful and fun. The beds are top notch comfortable and the furnishings are pleasing. There is a table fan in each room closet along with extra pillows for those of us who like to have air movement and enjoy reading in bed. In the morning coffee is waiting on the sideboard so you don't have to wait until breakfast to have a cup. And the breakfasts are always great! They are made with fresh ingredients and never boring. I would recommend this to anyone who likes warmth and quiet and comfort for a reasonable price.

My friends and I have been spending weekends at the "Wren's Nest Bed and Breakfast" for over 12 years. Every time when we arrive, we are greeted with fresh baked cookies and ice cold lemonade (with a sprig of fresh mint). The vintage home is close to downtown and has been kept in pristine condition since it was built in the early 1900's.

The private yard is filled with trees, hedges, gardens and lots of singing birds. There are nooks and crannies throughout the colorful yard, with the aroma of flowers and fresh herbs in abundance.

The special bedrooms are sumptuously decorated with antique dressers and chairs, and there are crisp sheets on the comfortable beds that are so inviting that it feels like you are climbing into a warm cozy hug.

The two bathrooms have deep claw foot tubs for luxurious soaking, and showers are handy, too. The fluffy towels are abundantly available in the uniquely decorated bathrooms.

Fresh coffee or tea greets us every morning, and the special breakfast is always a gourmet delight served with home made jams and breads.

I would highly recommend this treasure of a bed and breakfast, to anyone who wants to be pampered and treated with kindness, by a conscientious owner, who is a long time resident of the delightful town of Ellensburg.

I had made reservations over a month in advance. I arrived just before 5 p.m. to find no one at the B&B. I called and left a message for the owner asking that she call my cell. I did not hear back. I tried again around 7p.m, reached no one and checked into a motel.
