Interesting bartenders, locals and drop ins make this a fun place. We ate here two nights and they have decent bar food. More fried options than I like but that seems to be what the masses like. The Halibut sand was good and the grilled turkey with peppers was also good. They make their own chips so don't upgrade to the fries. There is outside seating and resraurant type seating but we sat at the bar as we always do - it's more fun. The prices (food and beer) are reasonable and they have 4 -5 local brews on tap. Happy hour (crappy hour - see photo) runs from 3 - 6. We like talking with locals, you learn a lot about an area from a having a couple beers with the them. One of the bartendes is a dog musher and has run the iditarod 3 teams, that's a feat. Service was quick and friendly though business was slow (Mon and Tue). We liked the Cougar for what that's worth.
