“Clean, comfortable, friendly AND Useable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

We had seen this place driving through town before, I looked it up here on trip advisor and we called to see if they could put us up for the night and at the last minute we asked if they had a conference room. We reserved it and a room for the next two days which was all tolled cheaper than the rooms at the other hotel. (We had a reservation at another hotel in town and at the last minute they informed us they didn't have a reservation for us but I didn't want to go into all that here). The folks at the desk were friendly and professional. They granted us access to the conference room immediately even though we hadn't spent the previous night. The conference room was small (seats about 8) but more than adequate for our group of 5. The lobby was a little noisy but not to the point we felt like requesting it be quieter. The hotel provided complimentary coffee, which a lot of higher priced hotels do not. Our rooms were reasonably updated, the bed wasn't as plush as some but the linens (bed & bath) were clean and crisp, we had a small balcony and while another reviewer stated the noise was unbearable, we actually had neighbors and heard them and their tv, but it was barely noticeable. We also noted the doors did not shut well when we were on our way out so we ensured we closed it tightly and asked for no maid service. Overall GREAT experience.

Room Tip: If you're concerned about noise, specifically ask if there are rooms with no neighbors, the staf...

We had stayed the previous night at the Aster Inn but they were full so we booked a room at the Timber Lodge. Rooms were old and outdated, more like a Motel 6. There was a sign posted in the bathroom stating that they count the linen each day and if any is missing you will be charged. Makes me wonder about the types of guests they have. For $84.00 a night I expected more. Stay at the Aster Inn if you have a choice.

We were on our way to Seattle and the freeway was bumper-to-bumper in 102 degree heat. We got off the freeway and drove through Cle Elum (doesn't take long) and randomly selected this lodge. Wow. $72/night, rooms so large they are more like suites with bar refrig and microwave. All the staff are ENORMOUSLY FRIENDLY AMERICANS WHO SPEAK ENGLISH. Beautiful plants in the lobby which are cared for by this great lady who works the graveyard shift. I get up early and the coffee was on and fresh. We own a lodge, so we always are curious. I would hire the entire staff in a flash if they wanted to move to Montana. During the night, it was so quiet I looked into the parking area to see if we were the only ones staying there. We weren't. This is a circa 1970 lodge but was well built and the current owners actually care about this building as more than a cash cow. It shows. We'd stay there again.

Room Tip: If you smoke, get a top floor room with a balcony.

Recently stayed in the lodge in July, 2012. I was a little hesitiant as it looks a little unremarkable from the outside. However, super clean and charming on the inside! Staff was amazing and Robin and Sahara were thoughful, courteaous and helpful. Morning breakfast was wonderful too! Roonms were clean and spacious. Overall a very nice expererience and I would stay here again without hesitation. We also traveled just 10 minutes up the road to there pool facility! WOW! An amazing 25-meter pool, spa and kids "spalsh ground", with beautiful locker rooms, tonms of space and pool deck/furniture! One of the nicest resort pool facilities I have ever been to!

We love staying here. The staff are awesome. The rooms were very large. Breakfast was good and the the location is perfect. I had come down with the flu the night before our departure and the next morning all I wanted to do was sleep not pack up and drive for 3 hours. My husband asked the front desk if we could have a late check out so I could rest. They did not charge us and also asked if they could get anything for me.

From checking in to checking out this was an amazing experience. The hotel went above and beyond the call if duty. The room was very spacious and clean. What great Ambassadors for Cle Elum. I would definitely recommend the Timber Lodge Inn to everyone.

We stayed two nights while at a church conference at a nearby campground. There is no insulation so the rooms are noisy. We could hear the toilets flushing, showers running, people talking in the hallway and voices of our neighbors. We were gone all day Saturday - from 7:30 am until nearly 10 pm and upon returning to our room we found the door standing open - housekkeeping clearly didn't close and lock the door after themselves. Fortunately none of our belongings was missing. We left a message at the front desk for the manager to please call us about this. No call by Monday midday, so we called again. Still no call from the manager to address our concern. It is clear that customer service and security is not a priority for this motel. We won't be back.
