This was the last time I will stay in an Econo Lodge. Everthing wrong with this room was wrong.
Squicky Bed, remote to TV did not work( and they could not fix), we had a non smoking room and there was a burn mark on the blanket, the sheets were soild( they gave me new sheets but could not make the bed due to short staff), Toilet seat was broken ( almost fell on the floor), and to top it off there was a crusty booger on the wall that we found the next morning ( it was not put there by us).

Only reson we stayed was because we were going to be charged anyway, it was late, and we were really tired.

PS who has heard of a continental breakfast with no fruit.

I wish I had used this web site to check out the reviews ahead of time.

“What's going on with this motel?”

I rented a non-smoking room, but the bedspread had cigarette burn holes in it. I think the sheets were clean, but the floor was filthy. Clearly it had not been vacuumed for some time.

There was only one set of towels.

On the positive side, the bathroom had been recently refurbished. Now, they need to do the rest of the room.

When we were ready to check out, we noticed a handbag on the chest of drawers. It belonged to neither of us. I took it to the front desk; they seemed indifferent, but put it under the counter. Obviously what had happened is that a previous guest had left the bag behind, and the cleaner (if there was one!) did not notice it, and left it there.

I have to agree with the earlier opinions that this is the worst motel I have ever stayed at, including a Motel 6 in Illinois that had non-stop partying down the hall.

I think I'm going to move up a couple of notches, at least to Quality Inn motels.

Very dirty, stinky and gross. Had a non-smoking room that clearly smelled like smoke. The carpet was stained and wet in places. Comforter and blankets were extremely used- and did not look clean. The AC didn't work and the room was very hot and stuffy. Faucet in the bathroom was broken and ran all night long.. DEFINITELY DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

“Worst motel I have ever stayed in!”

We arrived at approximately 11:00 pm for a one night stay. When we got to the motel, they gave us the wrong room; when we told them we had two queen beds, they put us in a room that had been shut up for a period of time and it was 90 degrees out. The room was so hot, the air conditioner didn't work and when we went to see about another room, we were told there were no other rooms available; needless to say, we did not get any sleep that night and had to drive hundreds of miles the next day. I will never stay at another Econo lodge again, EVER!

Booked this hotel thru ChoiceHotels.com - this hotel shouldn't even be on their list - it was the worst experience I've ever had and I travel a lot!

First, asked for a room w/2 Queen beds. When we arrived there, a handmade sign on door said, "full, no vacancies." Went to room and it was 1 Q with a rollaway bed. I went back and he gave us a different room (you could tell desk clerk was frustrated that we didn't just take the rollaway bed) upstairs. Walked into upstairs room and it hadn't been occupied in days cuz it was so hot, stuffy & stinky - turned A/C on & it sounded like a Mac truck coming thru the wall! Didn't blow hardly at all and wasn't even cold. We were so exhausted from Six Flags we just layed down. I thought the A/C would kick in eventually - never did all night and it was over 90 degrees outside - opened door for cooler air (it was cooler outside), but was scared someone would come in a rape us - people had welcome signs in their windows (they were living there) & they looked very shady (scary). Little league was in town so no other hotels had rooms either, so we were stuck.

Most miserable stay I've ever experienced and they wouldn't even return calls to talk about refund or anything - kept getting passed off. Never stay here! I'd rather just slept in my car (which I should've just done & saved $80 for a hot hole in the wall)!!!! Lowest budget hotel I've ever stayed in - never again.....stay away from this Econolodge.
