“Perfect and accommodating from start to finish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2011

My husband and I were guests here twice in one month while making arrangements to move a disabled family member to a care home facility nearby. We are in total agreement that kudos are in order for the excellence we experienced during each of our stays. From the moment we arrived to our final good-bye, the desk, dining, and housekeeping staff made sure that we felt welcome and well cared for. And I'm sure that the background staff whom we don't normally come in contact with also make a big contribution to guests' positive experience. We definitely choose the right place to stay during an otherwise busy and difficult time.

When I first arrived at the hotel I was a little taken aback by the neighborhood - the parking lot is next to some businesses that look a bit shady; however, once I entered the hotel I forgot completely about that - it was luxurious. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the shower felt ever so spacious with a fancy shower curtain rod, and the breakfast was great. I love the little breakfast to go bags that they have at the check-out counter - it was just what I needed to get my business day off to a great start. I will definitely stay at this hotel if I ever come here on business again.

All I have to say is....Vonda, Vonda, Vonda! This very sweet lady serves you breakfast every morning, learns your name, smiles, and treats you like a long lost friend visiting her own home. The management is likely very proud to have such a valuable employee. She made the stay memorable.

Also, this is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever visited. Such a quality-run place.

Did a two night stay at this hotel due to some vacationing in the region. The hotel is pretty new, which means it's very clean, bright, well lit and the rooms are the same as well. It's difficult to find fault with almost any aspect of the hotel. It is off of I-5, not directly off of an exit so it does take a little bit to find. The rooms are very clean and the suite we were given was a glorified studio with a shower only.

The sum of the positives are that it is the best of what you expect in a Hampton, including the standard issue breakfast and the thoughtfulness of providing a weekend local paper when the USA Today isn't available.

Now to the negatives. The wireless is very slow, at one point I opted to use the wired connection (with the supplied wire, which is thoughtful). I showered later in the morning, which resulted in a limited amount of available hot water. The big one is the bed. This is a standard issue Hampton Inn bed and, as it's a new hotel the bed is extremely hard. Ok if you like hard beds, not so good if they cause you back problems.

If you like the air to blow on you while you sleep, you're out of luck in the suites as the air blows on the living area, not the bed itself.

I would certainly recommend this, and it is clearly the best hotel in town. Mind the bed, however.

cromartie,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and for sharing your experience and your constructive feedback.

I am sorry to hear that you were not too pleased with the bed in your studio suite. We are now taking steps to measure the quality of our mattresses throughout the hotel to determine if it's time for a change. Last week we also rotated all our mattresses which may also have resolved the issue. As far as the air conditioner not creating airflow over your bed, there is a minor change we can make to improve that. If you choose to stay with us again, we would love to hear these thoughts while you're here as well; we may be able to act immediately.

Nevertheless, thank you for sharing -- your feedback will help us to ensure that our future guests (you included) will be satisfied with our beds.

Sincerely yours,

Lennart Bentsen

We stayed at this wonderful hotel on our way to Ross Lake Resort in North Cascades National Park. It was clean, quiet, and simply a terrific stay. Our room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. I love staying at Hampton Inns and this property was no exception. Breakfast was great too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I normally opt to stay in Anacortes, Washington during a client visit, but this trip I elected to stay in Burlington, Washington at the Hampton Inn based on this hotels favorable reviews. I am glad I opted to stay at this hotel. The property looks fairly new, and is located at a great location near shopping centers and many restaurants. Check out the Espresso TUG-GO building in the hotel parking lot. The room was very comfortable and bed quite cozy for sleeping. The only drawback was the minimal water flow from the shower, but that could be related to a personal preference.

We stayed for one night on our way to San jaun islands. Location was great an d next to good shops for groceries, snacks and best restaurant only 15 mins away right on water, chuckanut manor. Also great was the free wireless. The location was 20 mins from ferry and a straight shot. We took the 6 am ferry which we didn't need to get any earlier than 30 mins ahead of time for. I was here with two teens and a husband and they all gave it a thumbs up.
