“Excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

I've been at both good and bad Hampton Inns. This particular one is a winner. Clean rooms, attentive staff, reasonable rates, free parking. There was a microwave and a fridge in my room. Breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn fare. If you avoid the omelet things with the processed cheese in the middle, you'll be fine. Free parking. It's a good home base for North Cascades or a ferry trip.

While in leisurely transit between Vancouver and Seattle, we find this hotel a pleasant interlude. The staff is extremely polite and pleasant, the rooms are new, clean, comfortable and the price for a night was reasonable. Breakfast is adequate, but Spartan, and the swimming pool and hot tub are a clean and welcome amenities. Definitely worth a stay.

Great value - have paid a lot more for a lot less elsewhere many times. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Appreciate that they even wash the duvet covers. Good breakfast. Friendly cheerful staff. We have stayed before and will stay again.

Was extremely pleased with our accomodations, from the well appointed lobby, great front desk staff, the excellent room - great comfortable bed, the fresh hot breakfast, & the nice warm cookies in the evening.

Rooms are nice sized. Beds very comfy. Staff has always been friendly, especially breakfast servers. Unfortunately the breakfast "food" is terrible. One of the best for Mount Vernon/Burlington though.

What a great hotel! Although we have stayed at a number of Hampton Hotels, this was our first night at the Burlington location and it far exceeded our expectations for a hotel in this price range.

The suite was extremely clean, which is very important to me. I'm a bit picky when it comes to the cleanliness of a hotel room and I was very impressed. The common areas were also kept very clean and well maintained.

The room was very spacious and fit our family of 5 comfortably (our kids are 9, 6 & 3). They slept on the fold out couch. My husband & I slept in the very comfortable & cozy king size bed. Loved this bed and the duvet - had a great sleep!

The decor was modern in the suite and throughout the hotel with recent renovations. The room had a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, microwave popcorn, tv, plenty of towels, extra pillows & a blanket, lots of counter space and room for the kids to play. The free wifi was a bonus, too.

The pool was the perfect temperature, unlike a lot of hotel pools that always seem to be a bit on the cold side. We took turns enjoying the hot tub, as well.

The included buffet breakfast is really fantastic - it saved us the typical $30+ bill had the 5 of us gone to a restaurant. It's not the most delicious breakfast, but it's what one could expect from a buffet and there was lots of variety; waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, oatmeal, boiled eggs, some fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, muffins, bagels.. Filled everyone's belly and we still had time for another swim with the much appreciated 12 noon check-out time!

All staff members were super friendly, attentive & welcoming! This is key in any hotel. A hotel can be really nice, but if the staff isn't friendly, it can sour the whole experience.

Finally, the location is super convenient; close to lots of shopping and restaurants.

We are already planning a trip for next month at this hotel, we enjoyed it so much!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 102 which is a suite (king size bed & fold out couch) It's near the back...

Great location, we stayed here because only 30 mins to ferry docks to Friday harbor. Close to lots of outlet stores and restaurants. Very clean, beds great, but if loud trains all night bother you, this isn't for you. We had a room at the back, I am a light sleeper and woke up every time a train went by the hotel. Very close to the tracks.
