“One of your average KOA”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

All the 50 amp pull-throughs were booked so we got a site in the large open grass area. We had one of the two 50 amp spots there which backed in to the common room/swimming pool area. Right above us was the air conditioner for the building which made it somewhat noisy if you spent any amount of time outside on a hot day like we did.
The facilities were rather run down but 'clean' enough (we did not use their bathroom except for one final pit stop before heading out). I'm not sure what it would be like Saturday late afternoon after all the kids go through it.
The water pressure was really lacking - only 35 lbs so just enough for a good tickle in the shower. The fire pit was a hole in the ground with a metal ring at ground level - dangerous walking home late at night after a few.
The staff was very friendly. The maintenance person (Jim) was a great help to us troubleshooting the cable problem. The WiFi was spotty at best so don't rely on it. Go to Starbucks down the street.
The sites were a little cramped but not so much that you couldn't get a large RV in and out.Our left side slide out was almost on top of the neighbour's fire pit.
All in all, not a bad place to stay over for a couple nights.
One more thing, hope there is no one pulling out as you're pulling in. There is room for only 1 RV to get through the common entrance/exit driveway. Poor design.

The visit started out very well, with a charming and efficient person handling our arrival. But this KOA is fairly old and most of the physical facilities could use renovation or improvement. The campground was quiet after curfew, which was good. It is rather difficult to find and the signage is quite small, so be on the lookout for your turns.

Our group of 8 moms and 17 kids (3yrs to 9yrs old) just enjoyed a 5 day stay at the Burlington KOA. We rented cabins 1,2,3,4,5 & 8. 1 motorhome site and 1 tenting site. We went with no expectations and had a wonderful time! This was our 5th annual mommy camping trip and we found this location to be our best on so far! We try a new place each year.

We respected the 9am - 9pm playground times and the 10pm - 7am quiet times. It made for an enjoyable, peaceful evening. The kids were fantastic and followed the rules of the campground which made for a very pleasant stay (granted we had to remind them a few times not to race around on their bikes and see who could make the biggest skid in the gravel when they braked!) We enjoyed a glass of wine by the campfire after the kids went to bed and never were told to put out the fire as we were chatting quietly.

The kids enjoyed the pool, playground, mini golf, exploring in the trails, riding bikes, renting the 3 wheel bikes, the Saturday night ice cream social and Sunday morning pancake breakfast, and most of all just hanging out and being kids!

The staff was very helpful and friendly.

If you respect the rules and the other campers you will have a lovely stay.

*Not a campground for those looking to "Party" or to be "Loud".
*Campsites/Cabins are close together
*You can hear the highway, bring earplugs.

Room Tip: Cabins 1,2,3,4,5 are great for a large group. The camping sites over by the Basketball area are a li...

We stayed here November 2012
I am a massive fan of KOA they have always been the highest standard of service, clean facilities and so welcoming. We have just completed 8500miles around the US and been to countless Rv park. We always know what to expect and and we searched for a KOA site whilst we were in the area. We had a really bad day where we ran out of gas on the freeway, we were so cold as the motorhome has no heating and my boyfriend had lost his passport and so we would especially came to this site to avail of the hot tub . However it closes at 7 pm so no hot tube I can deal with that. The shower rooms are very old, dirty and pretty sure I remember they didnt have a lock on them. Not somewhere I would encourage mothers to let their children have access to on their own. They are not heated also and the security does not feel safe in them.

Being from another country we do not have cell phones the next morning we urgently needed help from the embassy so we needed to make a call to Vancouver to reach the Australian Embassy. My boyfriend asked the lady at the office and was denied and even when he came back to her with a calling card she was very rude to him and again told him no. we would be stuck in America and probably would have stayed an extra couple of nights had it been for the attitude we encountered from this lady. We have had so many lovely KOA staff all over the country very friendly and willing to help us or point us in the right direction and we wonder to otherselves how this place is certified by KOA.
Not much American Hosptiality here at all. Please do not stay here they dont deserve your custom as they do not seem to care about the ones they do have. Surely letting us use her phone and with a call card that would cost less than a bad review not only highlighting the lack of customer service but also the dirty restrooms.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a tent site and did not enjoy the site at all. All the sites (including RV, which our family members were in) are very small! We felt like we had no room or privacy between us and our 'neighbors'. Or in-laws (in an RV site) could not even unroll their awning because of lack of room (big hedge in the way!). As for the "10pm Noise Policy"...we found that there was no enforcement of this whatsoever! There was a large group congregating in a tent site hooting & hollering until well after midnight and management was no where to be found. I walked up to the main office to complain only to find locked doors and lights out. No help at all. We had the worst sleep ever! As for the amenities, the kids enjoyed the pool and mini golf (hot tub was closed for repairs) and the bathrooms were okay (had sufficient hot water). Would probably not go here again as I've been in way nicer campsites.

We stayed at this campground on our way north. The pool and hot tub were very nice after a long drive! The staff and managment were very friendly and helpful! The kids loved renting the bikes! We will definitely be back!
