“Good Food, Bad service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

My group waited by the 'please wait to be seated' sign while others breezed by and sat down. When we asked if we could get a table we were treated rudely. Our food was good, our service horrible.

“A great little local and "classic" hangout”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

Small classic bar/pub in downtown Bothell. Always a number of good micros on tap.
Food can be so, so, but the "Spicy Cod" I had last night did not leave anything to wish for.
The ones in our party who ordered burgers were not too pleased, but it "passed".

Place can be a little bit noisy (bare brick walls) but it is after all a pub.

Ample parking behind building and close access to the Sammamish River Trail for those who bike by (just cross the bridge).

“Good food, not too expensive, great selection of beers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2011

I recommend the Main Street Ale House if you are hungry for home made potato chips. They are delicious! The restaurant features a rotating selection of beers. Try something new when you go.

“Great food and beer options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2011

Was visiting my sister and her family and we met here for dinner and drinks. The bar has a very nice selection of beers on tap and our waitress was knowledgeable about the selection. The Ale house is loud but that is to be expected and it was welcomed as we were all there for dinner and to enjoy stories over beers. The kids were not noticed as the idle chatter in the bar concealed occasional loud little voices :-) We all ordered different beers and they were all very good. We started with the homemade house potato chips and they brought a HUGE basket of these fries to the table and we all dove in. Very good but hard to stop eating them once you start! I ordered the Greek pizza for my meal but it is actually an appetizer on the menu. It was very good....it had roasted garlic, fresh tomato, artichoke hearts, red onions, and Kalamata olives and topped with melted Feta and Provolone. YUMMY, a pretty large pizza for one though...brought most of it home for later. My hubby had the Fish and Chips but substituted the Caesar salad for the house fries and he said it was good. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals too and the kids enjoyed their children's meals and also liked the crayons that our waitress gave to the kids to color with. Nice touch. All in all, it was a busy bar restaurant and the food was reasonable and good. We were seated and served very promptly and the atmosphere was festive.
