“That rare old fashioned book store”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

I could live in a store like this. An old fashioned independent book store with knowledgeable clerks and informative displays. They even have chairs scattered around so you can peruse before you choose. And, there's a discount cart so you can mix the value from new fresh to old and cherished. And of course, my favorite bookstores also have local lore and a few gifty things to delight.

“Great book selection, terrific guest speakers”

We arrived to a full house of people interested in a book speaker. Lots of interesting books and people.

“Quality food with a local emphasis in a lovely little book nook.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

This little nook resides in an upstairs corner of a fabulous independent book shop. Windows overlook Fairhaven's Village Green and the water beyond ~ a sublime view, and a perfect place to enjoy a good meal and glass of wine or cup of coffee. Owner and chef Charles embraces the local, sustainable food movement, as evidenced by his menu. This is high end fare at a reasonable price. The challenge here is that the hours seem rather variable ~ the cafe is sometimes closed when the book store is open, and several times I intended to eat here only to discover it had closed early. It's also clear is for the most part running a one man show, as service can be spotty. Still, the environment and emphasis on "real" food make this a spot worth visiting.

“A Must Visit In Fairhaven, Washington”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

This bookstore is a fabulous experience in a historic setting...it offers a great browsing experience for every interest.

Allow yourself some time to investigate the offerings...& maybe have a coffee! A wonderful place.

“Disappointing sandwiches”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012 via mobile

We have had lunch here on many occasions over the past few years and liked our selections. This recent visit found that the menu was limited. The pulled pork sandwich had a very bad flavor and tasted like it had been frozen too long and thawed. Do not recommend this choice.
