Description: Boomer’s Drive-In – Voted the Best Burger in Bellingham again & again!Great Food | Great Price | Great FunBoomer’s great food has been a local family favorite for decades. Our customers have enjoyed the same great menu of gourmet Boomers Burgers, world-famous waffle fries, real hard ice cream milkshakes, yummy hot dogs, fresh salads and old-fashion car hop service for years.Serving families in Bellingham since 1989, Boomer’s Drive-In has become a local icon. People who enjoyed Boomers as a child are now bringing their kids and grand kids to enjoy the same great food. Little about Boomers has changed over the years and we strive to keep it that way.

“Neat 50's drive up diner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Needed to grab a quick bite to eat before our campus tour at WWU. The food is what I expected from a drive up 50's type restaurant. I had a Chicken Burger with Honey Mustard Sauce. The ladies had Mushroom Swiss burgers and Fried Mushrooms. The waffle fries were good and the fry sauce was good. Fair prices. The carhops expect to see your car headlights on if you are ready to order. Only problem is what if you forget and leave on your lights and your battery dies! Well, we found out! The car across from us had just that problem. The restaurant has a mobile charger to fix that! Awesome!

“A wonderful 1950's throwback: a car-hop drive-in! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Boomer's will bring you nostalgically back to the "Bob's Big Boy" type of car-hop serviced burger joint - in a very good way - with straight out of the past drive-in style and very good, if horribly fat and salt laden, burger joint cuisine. The only thng missing is the roller skates! You don't go here for healthy nutrition; you go here for excellent burgers, fries, sodas, and milkshakes, brought right to your car. There is also a nice indoor dining area for those who want to avoid ketchup drops on their shirts and fries stuck between their seat and the console. But, the car-hop option is a blessing for those traveling with pets or kids who act like unruly pets in restaurants. Speaking of car-hops, the service is quick, perky, and excellent. Food is served on window trays that are perfect in the covered parking bays. The food is always cooked to order and very fresh, so expect a little wait while your order is cooked (no McDonald's style production lines and heat lamps used here). But note: Boomer's is deservedly very popular and the parking bays are often filled to capacity at prime lunch and dinner times. You may have to wait for one to open up... or give in, park elsewhere, and go inside to order. Also, be aware of the local custom to summon service: you turn your headlights on when you are ready to order. Otherwise you will be completely ignored! Try Boomer's for the novelty, but you'll come back over and over again for the quality!

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Stopped in for a quick burger and was so happy that we did. The service was excellent but the burgers were awesome. Fresh would be the word that comes to mind. The entire family of 5 enjoyed the burgers and fries and our bill was less than $25 for all of us. Sweet Deal!

“Satisfies my burger craving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Boomers is my go-to when I have a burger craving. I always get one of the combos (depending on if I want a shake or not) and I'm never disappointed. The waffle fries are the best and the burgers are good. It's not on par with say, Red Robin, for burger quality, but it's a step above traditional fast food joints. We usually get our burgers for take out but it's sometimes fun to park and eat in the car as well.

“Great little restaurant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

We stopped here for dinner while border shopping based on recommendations online. What a great little stop! It's a few exits south of many of the main stores Canadians hit, but worth the detour. The food was yummy for a good price. We both had guacamole-bacon burgers, split side onion rings and sweet potato waffle fries, and my husband topped it off with a banana shake. The total was something like $22, and the burgers were the most expensive on the menu. They were huge.

They have an outstanding selection of shakes, and my husband was utterly thrilled with the banana shake.
