“Adequate overnighter”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Needed a place to stay after day hiking at Mt. Baker. This place showed up on TA and the reviews were positive. The wife and I found the room clean, AC worked great, the shower had exceptional pressure, and the jacuzzi was nice for the sore muscles. The king bed was adequate, ( we have a superior one at home) and I would stay there again. BTW the continental breakfast was spare, did not bother as there are lots of great places to breakfast in Bellingham...

Our king size bed was firm, the bathroom spotless, and the carpet had recently been vacuumed and felt soft on the feet. Room includes small table and chairs, two dressers and small fridge. Hair dryer, soap and shampoo packets in the bathroom area. They fixed the security problem and close the end of hall doors at 10 pm for the night. People must go through lobby. Overall nice clean room and we would stay here again! Oh, and they provide a sparse continental breakfast.

Average motel. Quite dated room. Could be cleaner. Didn't like being on ground floor -102- next to door that was always open. Had security concerns about fact that anyone could walk into motel round back. Whenever I shut doors, someone else propped them open. Felt uncomfortable with lack of security.

Breakfast was on- same as usual motel breakfast. Coffee was far from nice but pretty standard American coffee.

Wifi though was excellent.

Price was low and met expectations. Not a fan of motels so would not stay here again through choice and over poor security.

I just recently returned from my 8th annual extended stay at the Bay City Motor Inn. As always I had a clean, comfortable room ay a reasonable price. And as always Lucky and his family and the other staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Lucky is continuously updating and remodeling. I have come to look upon the Bay City as my home away from home.

Traveling through found this hotel which was near Western University where I have friends. Staff great rooms, not so great. Had to stay in the "lower level" and previous reviews tell the story. For bikers the lot is really not too secure so park near the office. Great Japanese steak house across the street. ......................................................

We were travelling with friends recently and had an overnight stay at the Bay City Motor Inn. Both our rooms were clean and roomy with comfortable beds. We prefer upper floor rooms for the noise factor, but were on the main floor this time AND it was QUIET. Breakfast was your basic with juice, fruit , dry cereal, toast and Danish. Good coffee. I highly recommend staying there for the comfort and value.

Room Tip: we were given handicap rooms. Nice big bathrooms:)

We had booked 3 nights thru Expedia and pre-paid. The place is terrible---Beds soft, lumpy and squeaky. Only 2 low low wattage bulbs in Room 101. Expedia should be ashamed for rating this place higher than 2 stars. Will NEVER BOOK THRU EXPEDIA AGAIN. You have been warned .

Room Tip: I Think all rooms are bad.
