“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Recently stayed here for a night before flying out of Bellingham and we couldn't have been happier to have done this. Beautiful hotel rooms, indoor pool that was great for a night time dip for the kids before bed, amazing breakfast and not just cold cereal I'm talking the full meal deal, free shuttle to the airport AND I got to park my car for 11 days free underground! A quick call to the hotel upon arrival back in Bellingham and the shuttle came straight to the arrivals door and picked us up.

Excellent front desk service from all employees we spoke with. The lady that worked the breakfast was soooo sweet to my children! Gave them each a lollipop for the plane.

I can't recommend this property enough to all of you who have an early flight out of Bellingham or just for a nice hotel if you are in the area.

10 out of 10! We will stay here before every trip out of Bellingham even if it's not an early flight. We loved it that much.

Room Tip: If leaving your car there make sure to double check that you can get space underground!

The facility was only 3 months old when we stayed. The room was a suite (couch/sitting area). It was perfect for us. We stayed overnight before venturing into Canada.

The pool and fitness center are excellent.

The only let down was the complimentary breakfast. Yes, thank you for free food.....but it would be great to have a paid option where it was cooked to order. Not really an issue...just something that would have made it perfect.

Booked this hotel because it was next door to our nieces apartment. Never did we expect this amazing experience. Booked with the manager, Keith, who made every step a breeze. Then we walked into this beautiful, inviting lobby to we bowled over by Olivia bright refreshing personality at check in. The lounge/dining area is decorated in a very crisp, elegant styled. Love the sofas!!

Then our room - I guess I missed the "suites" part of the name - so we were delighted with our big room from the L-shaped sofa, computer desk to the huge bed with double bathrooms - one for the toilet with it's own sink and the other with the shower and sink. Add to that the big screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and free WiFi - what more could a traveler ask for.

The service from EVERY one was amazing - it is clear that they love working there and really respect the manager, Keith. Enjoyed the lounge and great staff both nights we were there. The breakfast was wonderful - loved the waffles. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. We've been telling everybody about our stay and will definitely stay again when we come up to visit family.

We stayed here only for one night when we went to meet up with friends from Canada, but we wished we could stay longer! Just opened in October 2013. Everything is very well designed. We had Two queen suite and the room was spacious with two separate bathrooms. Indoor swimming pool was great for my 4 year old with rain outside and the hot tub for us adults. Their free breakfast was pretty good with usual choices of eggs, potatoes, waffles, pastries and etc. About 10min drive to downtown Bellingham. All the staff was very nice and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed here the night before skiing Mount Baker. It was more expensive than other Bellingham options but had the best reviews. The room was nice and spacious. The pool and hot tub were pretty good and not crowded. The wifi was free. The free breakfast was way better than expected with eggs, waffles, bacon, orange juice and cereal. At the end of our skiing day, we stopped off back at the hotel and the staff member at the front desk let us use the hot tub again even though it was long after check out! Nice!

I love the "new" Springhill Suites properties. I travel to Bellingham monthly for work and I was never impressed with the other hotel options, either too expensive or run down. Great to see this property come to the area. Staff and hotel is very nice.

One suggestion: Put a electric car charging station in

Thank you for staying with us and for taking time to share your experience with Tripadvisor! We have plans to install car charging stations at the SpringHill Suites and our new TownPlace Suites later this year! We are still in the deciding process and since you would utilize this amenity when it is available, if you wouldn't mind reaching out to me directly to share your opinion/s, I would appreciate it. My direct email is keith.coleman@marriott.com. There are so many options on car charging stations and we want to ensure we are best meeting our guests' needs. Thank you!

A terrific spot and being brand-new, it fills a huge void in Bellingham's hotel choices. High quality, new of course (as mentioned), full service and with amenities - it is almost a destination for this town all in itself. Marriott always does well with all of their levels of hotels and different names/styles.

Rooms are oversized, and nice that they have two separate, partial bathrooms: one with large shower (only; no tub folks) and main sink/vanity contained in one side, and the other section with a toilet and extra small sink. Large living room area, with glass enclosed desk & with full floor-to-ceiling frosted glass makes a nice natural & useable partition to the bedroom area. A small bar/countertop with bar fridge beneath is in a corner that provides added usefulness and useable space.

Large fitness room with all new equipment looks onto a large L-shaped pool across a glass enclosed hallway. The pool is typically outrageously shallow (between 3 - 5 or so ft in sections throughout), so fantastic for families with little kids but only just barely useable for brief laps or a proper swim if no one is around. But this is typical nowadays so not a surprise. Hot tub adjacent too.

Friendly staff run the huge lobby and overall area. Part of this is a breakfast nook in mornings beneath interesting B&W photos of the area, and the free/included breakfast is elaborate (some hot items like eggs & gruel, cheap self-making waffle station, along with other quick & easy continental items). Another corner makes for a bar set-up and kind-of bistro by evenings, which all looks gleaming & chrome & spotless (& stylish) being so brand-new - not a free manager's reception or anything but an actual working bar with food to order for cost. Still, this almost seemed like the place to be lately in Bellingham and appears to attract even the locals... though also great for Groups visiting the hotel.

The only thing unfortunate about this impressive new hotel is the location, though it's not all bad: people staying will almost always be driving, and America is a car-culture place! Lots of parking out front too. Though it is a bit odd - away from the centre of town, and close to popular Bellis Fair Mall, yet not quite walkably handy to it (about a mile away).

Interesting that a long-stay TownePlace Suites (also by Marriott) will be constructed right next door soon! In total, a big gain for Bellingham - a slightly undiscovered and charming large town in its own right.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and with a terrific layout - no poor choice.

What a great review- Thank you Matthew. We may want to borrow some of your descriptions (haha). Your feedback is appreciated and I just wanted to add (to those guests who prefer a tub), our Queen (double-queen) suites do have tubs in them, whereas the king suites have the large glass-enclosed showers. Thank you again for your time to share your wonderful experience!
